Krissey Anderson sat on her bed with her head in her hands. “I will not do it!” Her cell phone was in the hands of her best friend who was about to send a text to a guy she thought was perfect for Krissey. His name was Eric Stanton, the All-American nerd which suited her fine. They had a lot in common, including academics and would make a fine pair. Trouble was that Krissey didn't feel a single ounce of attraction for the guy. It wasn't that he wasn't attractive because he was. It just wasn't there for her.
Dottie Leonne had typed out this message on her phone to send:
‘I think you are the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. I would like you to come to my room here at Corrigan hall so we can talk. Room 18. – Krissey M.’
“I changed my mind.” Krissey made a dash for the phone but her friend was faster. With a mischievous grin, she darted away and made a dramatic show of hitting send. Those green eyes were twinkling with joy but she frowned when she looked at the phone. Krissey’s brows arched. “What?” She got to her feet and stood next to Dottie, looking at the phone.
“Apparently I made a boo boo. It sent the message via email and not to who we intended. “ Krissey paled and Dottie calmed her. “From the looks of it, this guy is on the college network. We’ll just look up the email to find out who it was sent to. “ Dottie sat at her laptop and tapped away at those keys and visibly paled when she reached her goal.
Krissey read the screen and nearly fainted. “Of all the people you could have sent that message to it had to be the school’s most infamous seducer of innocents. The fraternities sing songs about him.” She was on the edge of a panic and looked like she could strangle her best friend.
Dottie tried to be the voice of reason. “He has a million girls texting him every day. What are the chances of him coming here? He doesn't even know either of us. It will be fine.” Krissey tried to remain calm and went back to working on her report for biology that was due the next day.
