I'm not one of those BTB guys who wants my erotic fiction to be morally instructive, but this story? A former cheater, got pregnant by it, raised the child with her husband, and now is going to restart? Wow. That is one unlikeable protagonist.

Given that premise, I like #1 the most. If you publish it in LW, be prepared for the worst scores and comments ever.

A few minor tweaks as @CalBishForNow has a good point.
So maybe dad married the town bicycle. It's not hard to imagine, they meet and she likes him a lot right off the bat, and he knows her past. And two months into their dating she finds out she's pregnant from a one-night stand just before the couple's first date. They marry and he's happy to raise the child as his own.
For years he does everything to take care of his wife's need for male attention even allowing her an OF account where she appears masked and he fucks her on camera, posing as a new young man she's invited to her boudoir every clip.
Until her daughter's new BF shows up for a family get together and he's smart and devilishly handsome. An alpha male in every way. And he recognizes her. Before long, he's hitting on her every moment they are alone.
It's all she can do to resist him, and she can feel her resolve crumbling. The old slut in her is reawakening and her husband just isn't enough.
Does she cheat or come clean with her husband? Is he angry or does he invite the young man for another dinner and dessert?

I agree. I think it depends on the story, the wife could be evil and nasty, or misguided, or just looking for some adventure without hurting anyone. This site is for fantasy so all should be welcome. Also, I will admit I do enjoy the LW trolls. It doesn't take much to wind them up, but man, it is fun.

I think the reason you’re not sure where to take it is that you might be asking the wrong questions. Right now, your question seems to be “My character has decided to cheat again—so how should she find her sex partners?” (College kids? Neighbor? Church volunteering? An app?) But maybe the real question should be: Who is this woman, and why does she feel the need to put a perfectly stable marriage in jeopardy?

You’ve set up a fascinating backstory that you’re skipping past too quickly. A former cheating wife who had her lover’s child, raised that child with her husband, and then left her cheating ways behind for nearly two decades? That’s not a simple “empty nest + good sex = time for affairs” situation. That’s someone who has spent eighteen-plus years suppressing something, or repaying a debt, or performing a version of fidelity that never quite fit her. The empty nest isn’t the cause—it’s the removal of the reason she stopped.

I think there’s a lot of erotic potential in exploring that earlier period first. Flashbacks to her original cheating, the sexual encounters that led to her pregnancy, the tension in her marriage when her husband found out (or didn’t), how they rebuilt or papered over the damage. That internal battle of “will I or won’t I” as she evaluates people she already knows in her daily life—the neighbor, a coworker, her daughter’s old coach—is far more compelling than just picking a method from a list.

So my advice: don’t jump straight to the later affairs. Go deeper into who she was, what she felt during the first betrayal, and why that part of her is waking up again. The “how” will become obvious once you know the “why.”
