Retirement

All things reach their natural conclusion. When demand (from subs) and desire or capability (to perform) are no longer there.

Some people progress to writing stories...

An interesting question. I guess it's when the Dom feels less passion for being in control. Age is not really an issue if their health is fine and experience is everything. I have been with some play partners in CMnf settings who were 'retired' as such but still active in a kinky way.

'From the market" meaning being a dom, professionally?
or in a relationship with a sub?
If as a pro..I'd only retire when I couldn't find clients.
or lost interest.
I'm 88 and a submissive ..to professional Femdoms, and I love them. I use professionals not by choice but otherwise without.

I don’t feel there is an automatic retirement age for things. As others have said it’s really about your desire and wanting to be a dom.

I have found certain advantages as a Dominant man in his very late 60’s. I’m more patient and can focus more on the needs of a submissive than my own. And I’ve become a bit more open to new ideas, which adds to the pleasure.

One of the best doms I've ever known was in his 80s when I knew him - he had had one sub for over 50 years by then. I was in my 20s, female, not sexually attracted to him, but by god could he play a sub's body and responses!

He would delegate the physically onerous parts of topping. I made him a character, "Prof Mike Snow", in my story Wheelchair Bound?
