Submissions have taken 1-2 days for me recently. But I stuffed up on names in one and decided to resubmit. It's been pending for nearly a week? How much longer does it usually take for edited stories to go up? I'm holding off with the last chapter in a series because of this and want an idea of what to expect in terms of delay.

Don't know. I haven't edited and resubmitted any stories. But I think a delay of a week on almost anything justifies a polite "just checking" PM to Laurel.

Edits are a lower priority than new stories and they take longer to post. The time it takes probably depends on Laurel's work load. I've edited a few, and I recall seeing them up in three days to a week.

Upwards of 2 weeks.

I know because ive been doing a lot of editing lately.

I really need to edit and resubmit my last chapter of my series. I was reading over it a few days ago and I saw so many mistakes including one paragraph written twice!

If I edit it to resubmit, it will still be up with the mistakes right? I hate to submit the next chapter and then the previous chapter disappear for a bit.

An edited story doesn't disappear, the new version just takes its place, on the midnight server run.

From various threads I've seen, one to two weeks seems typical; Hey All says the long side of that, right now.

That's what I was thinking, and hoping. THANKS!

I submitted an edit on 11/23/2018 and it's still waiting. I've seen the take up to a week and a half to post.

Grammarly is awesome. Found it after my mistake-riddled first submission. Between that program and a few re-reads of the finished story, I'm no longer worried about finding an editor. I'm even using it right now...Swear I don't work for them.

Ok, bummer. Oh, well... I guess the readers can live witjout the last chapter a while longer.

Frustration

I have respect for the administrators of this site. However, when I post a story here I am not looking to make it perfect, just enjoyable. I do get frustrated when my stories are returned with stock feedback that makes it frustrating to try and address the issues.

If this is only a place for writers to peer review stories and ensure they are perfect before publishing, I wouldn’t be frustrated. I would move on. However, I read many of the stories that are published here and the quality confuses me. ...so, I’m frustrated. :)

Enjoy all...I don’t have the time to invest. I’m sure I will not be missed, but I know I will miss reading some of your work.
