Resubmitting an old story

Hey, long time no speakie. I have written an updated version of an old story from 1999. I was wondering if the old one can be taken down or replaced with the new version? I have been asked repeatedly to write more of the story, but I can't seem to escape my ADHD to not procrastinate and begin 5 other new projects that also never get done. So, to get something done, even if it is just to improve and fix all the grammatical errors seems to be a win for me. So, please let me know if this is something that can be done. Thanks in advance!
