I'm working on getting my boyfriend into more bondagy things and one of the things we have agreed to try is handcuffs. The only problem is that I don't have a bed frame. I do have one of those things that holds up a box spring so I'll have bed legs to work with... I don't want to use one of the under the bed restraints as I'd like to really not be able to move my arms much. Ideally, I would also like to have my hands close together such as in cuffs, but I understand if that's not going to be possible... Any ideas?

Try putting an eye hook in the thing that holds the box spring up and running a chain or rope up from it then you can attach cuffs to the rope or chain.

You could simply use the cuffs or rope, with your hands behind your back (or in front). Behind the back can be quite taxing on the shoulders, but I find I really like that! Plus it is then easier to move into different positions than being spreadeagled. If you really don't want to be able to move your arms at all you could use rope to tie your forearms together up to your elbows.

Though feel free to disregard all that in favour of spreadeagled, as I'm totally biased when it comes to bondage. :D

Suggestion

I use thick soft untreated cotton rope for bondage, you can buy it by the meter online. Basically, have your wrists tied crossed, palms and backs both facing the same way and then have your bent elbows secured to the bed legs.

First wind two loops round one wrist so the ends face the back and tie a single simple knot. Lay the front of the other wrist against the back of the tied wrist over the knot and wind two loops round second wrist ends facing back and tie a second simple knot. Form loops around both wrists sufficient in number to prevent your escape, tie the final knots around back of your hands, at this point a simple double bow often suffices (quick to undo). Loops should be secure, so keep things tight but not tight enough to cut off the blood supply. I twist the two strands of the loops wound round each wrist together to prevent slippage too.

Now lie on the bed on your back with your hands over your head and have your partner secure your bent elbows to the appropriate legs of the bed forcing your hands to remain just above your head. If you partner sets the tension correctly you will hardly be able to move your arms at all and your hands will be close together. You can always add the handcuffs if you like but you need the wrists tied together if you want almost no movement; unless you had rigid handcuffs. Now there's a thought.

Happy immobilisation.

Aaron.
