"Sure, babe", he said, admiring her before charging out into the open and letting loose with a barrage of bullets, shredding the zombies and the zombie dogs. Claire ran next to him and began to do likewise.
"Babe"?! Well at least it was better than what he had called me the first time we met..."Foxy Lady".
I smirked at Carlos as we cleared a pathway through the back street we'd come out on. Quickly I reached into my pack and pulled out a small map of the town, pinpointing the location of the Hospital.
"If we don't come across any roadblocks, we should be able to get there in just a few minutes." I told him, showing him the route.
"Too bad that there are roadblock", shouted Carlos, pumping a stream of bullets into the undead. He saw a roadblock and pulled out a concealed grenade. He hurled it and the explosion ripped up half of the street.
After the licker had been killed the three of them walked out of the room to check the rest of the station. When they got into the hallway all they saw was carnage as there were bodies laying everywhere, most of them had been eaten and some had had their heads and other parts of their bodies ripped off. As they walked down the hallway a loud roar ripped through the air which caused everyone to turn in that direction.
"What the hell was that?" Jill said.
"I don't think that I want to be around to find out," was all Chris said before he began running down the hallway, the others following close behind.
Carlos grabbed Claire's hand. "Come on. Did you hear that roar? I don't think we want to be caught, much less in the open", he shouted, dragging her towards the hospital. He dragged her through the door and slammed it shut.
My heart beat quickly in my chest. Who knew what kind of monstrosity could have made that noise!? I had heard things and seen worse back in Raccoon City, and wouldn't be surprised if something bigger and badder was here in this sleepy little town.
"Whatever it is, we'll need more firepower to take it down than we have on us now." I told Carlos, as I turned to see what condition the hospital was in.
I grimaced at the sight of bloody handprints smeared onto the walls. Small pools of coagulated blood-stuff were scattered throughout the main entryway, and I gingerly stepped over one to get to the front desk. I found a directory amidst the chaos of paper and blood, and located the labs.
"We need to get down into the basement, this map shows a large lab downstairs."
As Chris ran down the hallway he noticed that there were loud footsteps coming his way and stopped, trying to figure out what was coming towards him until all of a sudden there was a loud noise and part of the wall disappeared as a large figure in a trench coat walked through it and looked at them all. Chris brought up his shotgun but before he could fire the person slammed his upper arm into Chris's chest, causing him to fly off his feet and slide across the floor.
I couldn't help but chuckle at Carlos. "Well by the looks of this bloody mess, I'd have to say we're in for some action."
I checked my pack then readied my gun and headed for the elevator. "It's still operating." I called to Carlos, "Let's do this!"
I smirked as he sauntered over, oblivious of the fact that his boots were getting covered in who-knows-what. I shook my head and tried not to smile, but couldn't help myself. As soon as he was in, I hit the 'B' button and we were on our way down.
The elevator finished it's descent, and there was a ding as the door opened. They were faced by the largest mouth either had ever seen roaring at them, it's teeth covered with blood and human parts. Carlos was taken aback for a second, but then raised his machine gun and began to fire at point blank range into the thing's throat.
"Good GOD...The STENCH!" I cried out as we let the creature have it with everything we had. "What the hell is IT??"
"I don't know!!!" yelled Carlos, "Just give it all you've got!"
A few hundred bullets later, the thing sat at our feet, a massive, quivering, sack - oozing something greenish that was acidicly eating it's way through the tile flooring. We each held our breath as we inched by it's already rotting corpse, fearful of the noxious fumes it was beginning to emit.
"It must have eaten all the people down here, this place is barren! It's a good thing too," I said as I watched the thing decomposing, "I don't think we have much time!"
I pointed to the smoke that was billowing out of the gory monster, trying to breathe using rapid, shallow breaths.
As Chris got to his feet he saw the person walking towards him and knew its intent. He wanted to kill Chris and nobody else so he ran down the hallways, firing his pistol as he did which was obviously having no effect on the person. As he ran he heard gunshots coming from further down the hallway and was wondering what was happening to Leon and Jill but he couldn't turn back as the person was blocking the hallway and that way meant his death. He kept running until his lungs felt like they would burst then spotted a partially open metal door and pulled it open as the person came closer then dived in, closing the door behind him.
He then looked around and found that he couldn't see anything as the room was pitch black. He searched the wall for a light switch, all the while listening to the loud pounding of the person as he slammed into the door. When he found the light switch and turned it on he laughed out loud as his luck was still holding. He had found the police armory and to his amazement it was largely untouched.
After he grabbed some weapons he tried to find a way out but before he could the door flew open and the person stood in the doorway. Chris looked at him with a smile as he brought up the grenade launcher that was in his hands. He squeezed the trigger and the grenade hit the creature in the chest, causing it to fly off its feet and into the wall on the other side with a crash.
Chris walked forward and looked at the person but then saw that he was moving and thought No way, that is impossible! How the hell can that person do that!
Just then the person got to his feet and brushed himself off then looked at Chris who looked around, saw a window and ran straight at it. He heard the footsteps of the person as he got closer but before he could get him Chris dived straight through the window.
A 15yr guy caught in his house with no wear to go. Life sucks. I live a mile from the police station. Before the radio died the mayor told everyone to stay in their houses. I did. But my parents didn't. They were finishing up boarding up the windows when the zombies attacked. I have never been so scared in my life. My parents are one of them know. My house is dark. You can hear the sound of the nails of the zombies as they try to break in. You can smell the awful stench of there rotting bodies. I then pray. "God, please send someone to save me......"
OOC: I hate to do it here but welcome aboard. I need someone else to write with.
IC: Chris ran down the road, trying to figure out what the person that had attacked him was. Even a grenade in the chest hadn't stopped him. As he ran along he hoped that Jill and Leon were alright but knew he couldn't go back because that thing would be waiting for him.
When he looked around he found that he was now in a suburban part of town and walked into one of the homes there. As soon as he walked throught the front door the first thing that hit him was the smell. He looked around until he saw the bodies that were lying on the floor and saw that they had been eaten then turned when he heard a noise behind him to see a zombie as it moved towards him.
Chris smiled as he brought up his new Magnum and fired at the things head, making it fly apart. He then heard a noise in another room and saw the zombies scratching at the door, pulled his shotgun off his back and fired at them. As soon as they were all dead for a second time Chris tried the door and when he felt that it was locked he called out, "I'm a human. I am here to help you."
I look up. God had given me an answer. "In here!" I yelled as I ran towards the door. I look next to the door and see the splintery remains of a base ball bat. Do I have it close by when I open the door? I look down at my pants. I felt so embaressed, I had wet myself when I saw the shadows of my parents being eaten alive. I hope who ever this guy i dosn't mind. I pick up the bat when I hear a crash from upstairs. The zombies had broken through. I looked at the door. "I'm comming!......"
Chris heard the noises upstairs and knew that the zombies were trying to get to this kid through the ceiling. I looked at the door and shouted out, "Come on... I have not got all day!"
Just then the door opened and I rushed in, brought up the grenade launched and fired several shots into the ceiling before I grabbed the kid and ran. As the two of us made it through the door the ceiling fell to the floor, several zombies getting killed again when it did.
As soon as it fell down I stopped and looked at the person that I had just rescued and said, "Hi, my name is Chris. What's yours?"
I ran into the next room, rummaging through the lockers there. Lo and behold, I got my hands on two gas-masks and put one on while tossing the other to Carlos.
"Lucky break, eh?" I grinned. "Let's go back and check the data base here for any info that could help us get to the bottom of all this!"
I trotted into the next room and propped myself up in front of the main computer there. Password...password...it's asking for a god-damn password! What the hell could it be?! I looked around for any clue's, but saw nothing obvious.
"Carlos, I need a password to access the data base...do ya see anything around here that could give us a clue?"
Chris looked at the kid and saw that he was scared, extremely scared. He then noticed the stain that was at the front of the kid's pants and thought that it was vomit or something from a zombie and said, "You can tell me your name later. The first thing that we have to do is get you a change of clothing. It looks as if a zombie threw up on ya. That is if we can find a store that is relatively untouched in this place."
He then let out a laugh, hoping that it would get rid of the tension.
I laughed. It felt good to laugh. "My name is Logan Crosswaters. Are these the same things that were in Raccon City? I heard about it on the news and thought it was just for a movie or something." I look at Chris. "Thanks for saving me back there. I owe you one. Are there any more survivers?......"
I hope so Chris thought. He looked at Logan and said, "Yeah. There should be some others survivors in the city but I'm not from here. I came here to see if this was the same thing that happened in Racoon City and was shocked to find that it was. I then found that my sister, partner and two others are here. Now, why don't we go and find you something to get changed into."
I grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulder then followed Logan out into the street and to a store which was amazingly untouched.
I walked into the store. " Matrix style or Mission Impossible 2 style? I said as I walked through out the store." Do you thing any of those things are going to try to get us here?......"
"If they do they will be sent back to the place that spawned them, in very little pieces. But I would have to say that you hurry as I don't want to be stuck in here and I want to see if my friends are all right."
Chris walked to the main window and saw that the street was pretty much deserted. He breathed a sigh of relief as he could take a breather.
"How could Neo wear such tight pants!" Logan exclaimed as he tossed the pants onto the floor. Grabbing a back pack he went trough out the store getting stuff he needed. Since it was a clothing store not much was put in the back pack. Extra pair of boots, sun glasses, and a leather jacket. "Drip,Drip"Logan walked back into the dressing room. "Ethan Hunts the name." He started to laugh. He looked excatly like Tom Cruise did after he stole the virus and the antidote. "Drip, Drip" Logan was suprissed when he saw a tounge reflection in the mirror..........
