Ray:

I stood on the roof, watching the sun rise over the hills in the distance. They didn't know I was there, atop the small building's roof, staring out at the peaceful scene. The sun broke over the hills as it had every morning since the Earth began, its rays meeting my face as the had the faces of many before me and hoefully would for many generations after I'd gone. But the face they struck just then wasn't the same as those that had been graced by thier glory so many times in the past.
I stood, stretched, and took in a deep breath. Then I turned to face the city behind me, something I'd blocked out for the few seconds the sun was rising. Desperation was another of Umbrella's victims. An entire city left to rot to nothingness, those of us left around trapped inside, unable to escape. The city was barricaded in, in attempt to keep the creatures here. Unfortunately, that kept us here as well. And worse still, I was fairly certain some of the creatures had managed to escape anyway. The world outside was in for a treat. No question about that.
I grabbed the shotgun I was carrying and hurried over to the open door, wanting to get inside before any of the creatures outside caught sight of me.

Desperation City Limits

Jason O'Bannon looked around. His red sports car didn't stand a chance of making it over the twelve foot high mound of dirt and debris that had been piled on the road and the fields off the road were to muddy for any car to get through. There was only one way into the town and that was to climb and hike it. Jason was determined. He was going to find Annie and he was going to marry her and they were going to have a lot of babies and live together forever in wedded bliss. He would not fail. Jason started to climb.

He had heard of the troubles in the town. Most wouldn't go in to investigate and he hadn't heard of anyone coming out to tell what was going on. He'd heard the governor was considering sending in the National Guard, but he knew the Governor would never do it. The Governor was a wimp, bleeding heart liberal, he didn't have the balls to send the tanks and the ground pounders in. he would let it settle itself or let the Feds deal with it. Jason had no intentions of waiting though. He reached the top of the hill and pulled out his Swiss army knife. It took him the better part of the night to cut a path through the barbed wire, but once he was done, it was worth it. From the top of the mound he could see the edges of town. No electricity, a number of fires were burning out of control, he could just barely make out screams coming from town. He had a five mile hike to make to get to the into the city itself. He headed down the far side of the mound and started his trek along the edge of the road. No cars. No trucks, no body! It was wierd. He hoped to make it to the city by dawn. He started to jog.

Ian Riley arrives........

The sun is just making a brilliant splash over the landscape of the town of Desperation. Ian was told to come to this town to find work, since the town he was staying in had higher unemployement than Cuba. His aunt had suggested to him to look up some of the Gun shops since he had a lot of expertise in this area from his past. He was not sure, since he still had nightmares about what happened to Liam. At least he would only be dealing with guns then, not explosives.

His car takes him to the outskirts of town, and he quickly applies the brakes. He notices that there is a complete lack of movement in the town. No cars or bikes are moving on the street. He can see wisps of smoke emanating from some of the buildings along the river front. He does not hear the telltale signs of fire engines and is confused. Maybe the USA is as dangerous a place as he had been told. He reaches down to his ankle holster and pats the 9 mm Glock that he always carries with him, a comfort in troubled times.

He gets out of his car to get a better look at the street, but can detect no movement. Something in this town is not right. The hairs on the back of his neck are standing up as if to warn him to turn around. His aunt had given him directions to one of the gun shops, and it was right around the corner. He felt confident that it would not be a problem to get there. He got back into his Yugo, wedging his large frame into the tiny vehicle. He starts the car back up and slowly drives down the street.

Linus Carter

Just a few hours ago, Carter had been jogging when his boss called him into work. Now he's on the way to Desperation with a full load of SWAT gear and a suv filled with his organizations best.

As they pulled drove down the highway, it seemed there was a body in the street. "Quick pull over, looks like this guy made need help." Carter pulled the SUV over to the side of the road. The vehical emptied as the men ran over to the injured with a bunch of medical supplies.

OOC: Tick, mind if I steal your scene. I could really use a ride. :)

Jason approached the intersection slowly. He could see the body in the ditch but wasn't sure what to do about it. He was about to head up to the man when he saw the SUV come over the hill from the other direction. Something was wrong. Jason had been noticing it during his three hour walk from when he had been forced to abandon his car. No birds, no bee's, no bug's, no frogs, no siren's and most ominously, no cars and no people. The first person he comes across, is a man laying in a ditch, probably dead. He took as definitly a bad sign of things to come.

Jason watched the SUV pull off the side of the road and a group of men, all dressed in black and heavily armed spread out. They were military or semi-military, two of the men moved to the body while the rest secured a perimeter. He was sure one of them would see him. He just wasn't sure he wanted to be seen. He looked for cover but the nearest cover was fifty yards away. Those M-16 could pick him off easy at this range. He continued forward, slowly and making sure to keep his hands in the open, fighting his habit of sticking his hands in the pockets of his brown leather bomber's jacket. As he approached he could see the nearest man's mouth moving, they must have radios on, probably telling the boss he had a stranger approaching. One of the men who had been over with the injured man stood up and came over.

Carter

OOC: Ok but your gonna be in for a bit of a fight...

I felt for the man's pulse. Nothing. "He'a already dead, looks like he's been badly beaten, parts of his skin are torn away." One of my assoicates stepped forward. "I dunno, I've heard stories about Desperation, something about man eaters."

"Dont be ridiculous." Suddenly I noticed the corpse began to twitch. "Christ he's !!!.... alive? How?" Suddenly the bushes around them burst into action as a horde of zombies surrounded the swat team. A pair of them managed to take down one of my men. "It's an ambush!!!" I opened fire, too bad I didn't have live ammo, just rubber bullets. I managed to bash a few of them with my shield but my men were falling to the ground fast.

The Zombie Hordes Draw First Blood

The man with the M-16 is just calling for his boss when the horde of zombies appear from out of the bushes.

"What the hell?" The SWAT man screams as he hears the screams of his partners. Jason watches as the man turnes and bashes one of the zombies with the butt of his rifle. Then he hears someone beside him. Jason turns and his eyes goes wide as two zombies move towards him. Jason backs off, looking for a weapon.

He had left his pistol on base, the airlines would never have let him bring it on the plane and he didn't plan to check any baggage.

Jason continues to back off as the two zombies come closer. Jason stops at the edge of the road. Two zombies to his front, an irrigation canal full of water to his back, beyond that, open field. This wasn't looking good.

The two zombies got closer, Jason waits, preparing himself and getting into a fighting stance. The first one is three feet away when he reachs for Jason, Jason doesn't allow it. He brings his arms up between the zombie's arms, breaking the zombie's grip, grabs the zombies upper arms, bends at the knees and rolls on to his back. He slams his feet into the zombies stomach and flips the zombie over him and hears him splash into the irrigation canal. The other zombie is still coming.

Jason rolls clear of the second zombie and onto his feet. The SWAT man who had been watching him is now down and unconcious, Jason sees the two zombies who had been attacking the man now moving towards him. Jason doesn't hesitate, he runs full speed right at the two approaching killer zombies, at about five feet distance, Jason dives, Jason's head hits the zombie square in the chest and the zombie tumbles backwards, Jason kicks his legs, tucks and rolls. The zombie lands hard on his back, Jason rolls over the zombie's head and onto his feet. He then dives for the abandoned M-16. The two zombies still on their feet are now coming towards him again. He grabs the M-16, rolls, locks and loads a round, flips the safety to semi-automatic and comes to rest four feet from the zombies, resting on his belly, he lines up and takes a shot at the first zombies head.

OOC: Will a gunshot kill these things??

Carter

OOC: Dunno, think if it's to the head, haven't played the games.

Carter looked around him, his entire squad was down. It was just him, the stranger, and the zombies. He realized if he countinued to fire he could take a few of them out but he would probably get killed. He knew there was only one way out of this.

He turned to the stranger, "Jump in the car." Carter fired off a couple of rounds as he rushed to the drivers seat, waitng for his apparent ally.

Ray

I grabbed the shotgun and headed for the window as the door burst open and three zombies staggered through it. Several more were lined up behind them, fighting to get through the narrow passage.I climbed out onto the fire escape, carefully dropping down into the back alley, then sprinted toward the main street, knowing there would be at least some of the creatures waiting for me there. As I reached the open space of the street, I saw only a few. A blessing, and easily sprinted between them, heading for the old motorcycle, right where I left it the night before. I climbed on it, the Hawk beaten and scratched from various misadventures, but still functioning, started it up, and tore off, heading toward the front end of town.

Jason fired two shots. One for each of the approaching zombies. The first zombie took the round in the left eye. The shot wouldn't necessarily kill it, but it stumbled and cofused the thing. The zombie's head snapped back and he collapsed. The second zombie took the bullet in the mouth. The zombie opened it's mouth at the wrong time. The bullet whizzed into it's open mouth and slammed through the back of it's throat and out the back of it's neck. The zombie slumped to the ground. Jason jumped to his feet and saw that the entire swat team was gone except for one. He saw the man run towards him.

"Jump in the car." The swat man yells and fires off some covering fire.

Jason runs over to one of the downed Swat officers and pulls the dead man's 9mm out and sticks it in his own belt. He grabs the ammo pouch off of the dead mans belt and runs for the car. With one hand, he flips the M-16 to full auto and empties the clip into the zombies as they attempt to surround the car. He slides into the passengers seat, dumps the now empty clip onto the floor of the car and slams home a new one. He locks and loads a round into the chamber, flips it back to semi as the swat man stomps the gas. Holding the passenger side door open with hsi right foot, Jason aims and takes out four more zombies with head shots before they leave the M-16's effective range. He pulls the rifle into the car followed by his foot. The door slams shut. "I get the feeling they don't like us. What the hell are they and what the hell's going on in this damn town?" He screams.

Carter

Despite my partner's persistance, the undead horde kept coming at us. I backed up the suv about 30 feet and slammed on the gas, headed directly toward the zombies. Rather than pulling the decomposing creatures underneath the car, the creatures burst into pieces, leaving parts all over teh windshield.

We drove straight into the heart of Desperation before I heard a loud shot, almost like a gunshot. As the car began to surve, I realized the tire must have blown out. I managed to get control of the car and pulled it onto the sidewalk. "Grab whatever you can carry, it looks like we're on foot from here."

Oddly enough, this part of town seemed quiet. "Damn my radio is dead. Let's get to the police station, perhaps I can call for backup there."

Ian sees the cross street that his Aunt had told him that the gun shop was on. He makes a right turn down the street. He sees an overturned car is blocking the street halfway down. There are flames shooting out from inside the car. Ian pulls over to the side of the road and runs to the burning vehicle. He sees that there are two bodies inside the car, but the people are clearly dead- burned almost beyond recognition.

As Ian turns away from the burning wreckage, he has tears in his eyes, he hates to see death. He has dealt enough of it in his lifetime, even though he is still young. He starts to go back to his car, when he notices movement in the shadows to the left of him. Two rabid looking men stumble drunkendly from the shadows. Ian thinks that they really look bad, but the homeless do sometimes. He walks back to his car, turning his back to the men.

As he reaches his car, he hears a moan behind him. He turns and sees that the two men are trying to get into the burning car. They are able to pull off the door, and Ian watches in horror as they pull out the arm of one of the occupants of the car. The men fight over the arm , as one of them takes off a large chunk of flesh. Ian is disgusted and reaches down for his gun. With his gun in his hand , he approaches the two men. "What the hell do you think you are doing? Are you some sort of circus freaks?"

Jason kept alert as he rode shotgun. He was ready to fight when the tire blew. He had already flipped the safety to full auto when his new partner said. "Grab whatever you can carry, it looks like we're on foot from here." Jason got out of the car and looked around the best he could as his new partner checked the car radio. "Damn my radio is dead. Let's get to the police station, perhaps I can call for backup there." Jason nodded and looked around.

"Any idea of which way the police station is?" Jason asked as his new partner got out of the car. "I'm kinda new around these parts!" Jason says. His partner looks around for a second and then points down the road. "Sounds good to me. By the way, I'm Jason." Jason says and circles around the car to shake the cops hand.

"Seargent Linus Carter." The guy says.

"Got another one of those vests?" Jason says tapping the black kevlar Carter has on. "I have a feeling I might need one in this town. By the way, can you tell me what the hell is going on here?"

Yon Culpepper

Yon stretched as he got up from the ground. For the past three days Yon had slept in the basement of one of the local homes. He looked into a broken mirror, seeing his white Elvis outfit soiled and ripped, he mumbled to himself. " Mercy" said Yon as he tried to make himself look presentable. When Yon had arrived here five days earlier he was eager to perform, now he wanted to get the hell out of here. Yon wasn't sure what happened, but three days ago all hell broke lose and now he was fighting to save his own ass. Yon slung his pack over his shoulder, then reached for his weapon, a Fireman's Ax. Yon would again try to make it across town to the police station, he was sure there had to be someone alive there.
He slowly opened the basement door, witch lead to a breezeway. With caution Yon made his way up the steps, as he reached to top he slowly opened the door to the outside. He was greeted by silence and the stench of death. The sun was beginning to rise as Yon made his way down the back streets, his hopes resting on making it to the police station,

Carter

OOC: Doffy, just Carter, it's important later.

"No idea, squad was called in just a few hours ago. Where can I drop you off?"

The two men do not answer Ian's question. They continue to pull more flesh off the body inside the car. Ian gets closer to them and notices a smell that is overpowering the charred meat smell coming from the fire. It is the scent of death and decay that surrounds the men , like the rings around Saturn. Ian fires a warning shot into the air, trying to get their attention. The men turn from the burning car, and turn their feverish eyes towards Ian.

Ian has had enough, he drops to one knee and puts a bullet into the chest of the man closest to him. Then he puts one into the shoulder of the other man. Other than a brief stop, the bullets seem to have little effect on the men. Ian starts to back away as the men walk along side the car towards him. Ian comes up with an idea and instincts take over.

Ian puts two bullets into the fuel tank of the overturned car. The gasoline leaks out and the vapor ignites. The two men are instantly set ablaze and start to flail around. Ian takes off at a dead run as the car explodes, sending shards of glass and metal as scrapnel into the nearer buildings. Ian is able to shield himself behind another parked car, mitigating the damage to himself to a few cuts and a long scratch.

After the explosion finishes, Ian gets up and looks over the side of the car that he hid behind. Pieces of the men are strewn all over the sidewalk as the explosion did its job to the fullest extent. The sound of the explosion also blew out the glass windows of some of the shops along the street. Ian scans the street for any other signs of life, and nothing stirs. He sees the sign for Davids Gun Shop one building down and runs towards it.

When Ian gets to the door of the store, he sees that the front had been hastily boarded up, but that the store had been broken into anyway. He sees a couple of dead bodies strewn across the lobby of the shop, multiple gunshot wounds to them all. The pool of blood encompasses a large portion of the floor. Ian gingerly steps around it as he approaches the counter. He looks behind the counter and laying among some of the supplies is a corpse that is mostly chewed.

This must have been the owner, thinks Ian. Poor sod. Ian does not know what is going on here, but he is beginning to get scared. He can see that people are acting strangely and theat they seem to be turning to cannabalism. He decides that his 9 mm is fine for most situations , but this one is not normal.

He looks over the counter, at the display cases to see what kind of protection this place has to offer. He sees a section that has bulletproof vests, and he takes one down. It is not as heavy as the ones that he had worn in his past, technology is great. Ian also seens a rack that has multipockets vests and he puts that over the bullet proof one. Now he looks for weapons.

He sees some larger hand guns but he is happy with his 9 mm for a handgun, it has been his friend for a long time. Ian spies a fast load shutgun that would work out well. He adds a shoulder strap to it and slings it over his shoulder. He opens up the display case in the counter and gets out a few boxes of shells and distributes them into the pockets of the vest. He finds a couple of boxes of bullets for the 9 and takes them too. There does not seem to be much else for a selection in here, just more of the same type of weapons that he has.

He wonders if there is more in the back room. He goes over to the body behind the counter and flips it over. The face is a ruined horror with multiple bite marks and chuncks of flesh missing. He sees a set of keys on the mans belt and takes them. He turns to the door behind the register and tries the keys. One of them opens the storeroom. Ian spies a light switch on the left hand wall and turns on the lights.

Center of Desperation

"No idea, squad was called in just a few hours ago. Where can I drop you off?"

Jason looks around for a second and then answers. "No where. I think I'll take a look around town for a while. See if I can find anyone alive. Maybe get a clue what's been going on around here. You mind if I keep this?" He asks, holding up the rifle. He gets a nod from Carter and heads off down one street. "I'll find my way to the police station, meet you there!" Jason yells back as he heads off. Jason moves down the street, checking out the store fronts as he goes. Looking for somewhere he can get food, water or weapons. He finds a grocery store. The store is all locked up and the windows are boarded over. Someone knew what was coming. They had time to board up the windows.

Jason circles the store and finally finds the rear door open. He goes in and finds four zombies laid out on the floor. Whoever had boarded and locked up the front, had forgotten to lock down the back of the store. The zombies had found a way in. But someone was waiting for them. Jason checked the rifle, brought it up and started looking around. He found more bodies behind some boxes. It looked like four bodies. A man, a woman, a boy and a teen-aged girl. They were all ripped apart. Arms, legs, gutted, the man was beheaded. His head no where to be seen.

Jason moved through the swinging doors and into the store itself. He stopped and listened for noise. He didn't hear anything. He began moving through the store. He grabbed an empty cart from an aisle and started tossing bottled water and canned foods into the cart. It would be a hell of a trip, but if he was going to barricade himself somewhere, or go hunting for Annie, he would need food and water he could trust. He had to keep up his strength. Jason pushed the cart around the store, picking up an apple to eat on the way. When his cart is full he heads to the front of the store. He does a quick scan of the registers, nobody. He then goes to the office.

He opens the door that says "Manager" And gets a surprise. Four zombies inside, each making an early lunch out of a young woman. They must have been the cashiers. Jason didn't hesitate he opens fire on full auto. The first half dozen shots rip the arm off of one zombie. He turns to the second and puts five or six rounds in the second zombies torso and chest. The other two are half hidden behind desks. Jason slams the door shut and runs. He grabs his cart and heads for the back of the store. He gets out the backdoor without another encounter. He circles the store and gets back to the street just in time to see three zombies come smashing through the windows of the store. Breaking apart the ply wood or ripping it clean off the wall. Jason lets loose a burst from the rifle and heads in the opposite direction. The zombies, apparently happy with their lunch, don't follow.

Jason finds a sports store. Leaving his cart of food and water outside, after reloading his rifle magizine, he heads in very slowly and carefully. "Hello, anyone in here?" He hollers as he goes in the door.

Ray

I slowed as I saw the car overturned, looking to see if there was a safe route around it. I saw a way to one side, inched toward it, then heard the shots. I stopped then, unsure of where they'd come from, not wanting to be the victim of a stray.
I waited while a few more rounds were fired off, then the car exploded, sending me off the motorcycle and onto my side on the asphalt. The force had knocked me over, but I was lucky enough to be a safe distance away in terms of the flames that had erupted.I climbed carefully to my feet, aching already, but otherwise okay, then lifted the motorcycle and climbed on, hoping it hadn't been too badly damaged. It appeared okay, save a few heavy scratches on the side that had landed down.
I kickstarted it and headed around the fire, moving carefully and listening for more gunshots. Once on the other side, I saw the man heading into the gun shop, far enough away that the sound of the cycle's engine might not have been audible. I brought the cycle to a halt and dropped the kickstand, then grabbed the shotgun and headed inside after him.

With the lights on, Ian can see some boxes of supplies off to one side, and a locked section of lockers on the right. He uses his keys till he is able to unlock the lock. He opens up the doors......to pandora's box. Inside is a Texan's wet dream. There are rows of more high powered guns than out front for sale. There are sniper rifles and even a grenade launcher attatchment for a shotgun. He sees a rocket launcher also in this cabinet.

What the hell possessed this man to stockpile these kind of arms, Ian thinks. Ian looks a little further and sees a stack of serrated edge combat knives just like the ones that the IRA gunmen were given back home. This is why my aunt sent me here, this man was selling arms to the Irish, thinks Ian. He opens up another of the cabinets and sees some cases of ammunition for the rocket launcher and three cases of grenades. This is too much to pass up, as Ian loads up his pockets with 6 grenades.

Ian decides to lock the cabinets back up, in case he may need these weapons in the future. He grabs a knife for luck, strapping it to his right calf. As he turns to exit the room, he hears a noise in the front room. He quickly gets his back up against the wall and inches towards the doorway. His shotgun is loaded and pointed at the door as it slowly inches its way open.

Yon Culpepper

As Yon made his way down the ally he froze as he heard gun shots. He stopped and griped his ax as he heard a women scream. Yon waited a few moments, waiting to see what would happen next. After a few moments of silence Yon continued on. As he neared the end of the ally he again heard gun shots, this time they were close. Yon ran out the ally into one of the main streets, what he saw next left him frozen in fear. A women was crouched against a wall, a man before her trying to protect her. Before them stood a lizard type creature. Yon looked with fright in his eyes as the creature circled around them. The man brought up his pistol and fired off four shots. The creature tilted it's head, it seem amused at what has happening. Then in one swift movement the creature moved and chopped the mans head off. So quick was the creatures movements that the mans body still stood as the head rolled about on the ground.
Yon felt his stomach jerk at the sight, his knees shook in fear. He was brought out of this trance by the sudden high pitch scream of the creature. Yon again looked and saw the creature, it was moving towards the women huddled against the wall. Without any planed thought, Yon ran towards the creature, ax raised to strike. As Yon brought his ax down the creature darted out of the way, causing Yon to miss and stumble forward. Yon jumped back up, turning now to face the creature. He was now on the defensive, and the creature was on the offensive. Yon moved himself in sequence with the creature, shadowing its movements. Yon watched the creatures movements, waiting for his chance. Then without warning the creature attacked, Yon ran forward, then ducked and rolled across the ground. As he sprung up he brought his ax around.
The ax buried itself into the back of the creature, the creature let out a high pitch scream in pain. The creature staggered around, and as it turned around again to face its attacker, Yon brought the ax down on the creatures skull. The creature sank to its knees, letting out one last high pitch scream as it fell forward. It was then that Yon saw the blood on his arm and noticed the large gash across his shoulder. Yon then realized how lucky he had been, his movements had saved his life, but were not quick enough to avoid injury. The women crouched against the wall stood up, he could see she was racked with fear, her whole body shook. As she saw the dead corps on the ground of the man who tried to protect her she again screamed. " Lady shut up" yelled Yon. The lady turned and looked at Yon and screamed again, she stumbled and fell to the ground. As Yon moved toward her, she crawled over to the corps of the dead man. "Lady calm down" Yon said in his best soothing Elvis voice. The women just shook her head, mumbling things Yon could no make out. Then the women grabbed the gun out of the dead mans hands. "NO" yelled Yon, but it was to late. The women put the gun to her head and blew her brains out. Brain and skull flew everywhere, Yon's stomach jerked, then he threw up on the ground. Yon walked about, trying to gain control of his stomach, then he sat down and leaned back against the wall. Yon desperately tried to make sense of what was going on, he needed to think, he needed a plan

Desperate Sporting Goods

Jason moved through the small sporting goods store. He had hollered, but with the way things were, If someone had shouted, Jason realized, he wouldn't have answered. He moved carefully, the rifle pointed out in front of him. He swallowed hard when he heard something in the back room. Jason moved forward, lifted the gate with his hand and swung his body and the rifle around the corner. There was a body behind the counter, but whoever it was, was long dead. He stepped around the body and went to the door. He got to the right side of the door, put his back to the wall and turned the door knob and pushed the door open. Holding the rifle with both hands, his finger on the trigger, Jason kneeled and turned around the corner, doing his best to expose only his head and the rifle. "I'm human!" He yells as he does. He finds another man inside with a shotgun leveled at his head. They pause, each pointing their weapon at the other. Jason sees the man is obviously human and raises off the floor. He lowers the weapon from his shoulder but makes sure to keep the barrel pointed at the man with the shotgun. "You want to fight or you wanna help each other?" Jason asked. Outside he could hear a woman screaming. "Sounds like there's others still alive out there."

OOC: Chewie, wanna kill each other?? :)

OOC: Doffy for further reference please refrain from using my characters. I personally would have had Carter say something like "that's police property."

OOC2: If anyone is going to the police station and using the radio after Carter, pm me. You may be able to aide me in advancing Carter's story.

Carter pulled the suv up to the police station and made a quick exit. Shotgun and swat gear in tow he walked into the empty police station.

Usually there would be a guard at the front desk to buzz him into the electrically locked facility, but it seems no one was there. He sat in the lobby for 2 hours before realizing no one was coming back. He took the but of his shotgun and smashed the window.

He climbed into the office and picked up the radio, "....PD67 this is Carter in Desperation, things have definatly gotten out of hand here, send more men asap." "We read you PD67, hang tight we'll dispatch two more teams as well as research team one." "Tell research team to stay behind, it's too hairy right now, send video equipment and I'll beam it back to HQ" "Copy."

He hung up the comm unit and decided it may be best to see if anymore men were at the station that could help him. He walked into the break area, but saw no one. "This is odd." He walked into the locker area, but that too was empty. "It seems I'm the only one here...."

OOC: Maybe at a later time Doffy :)

Ian sees a dark figure enter the room, he tenses his finger on the trigger. He hears the figure yell " I'M Human". He sees the person lower their weapon but still pointing it at him. Ian lowers his weapons as they hear a womans scream. He agrees that the two of them should work together.

"My name is Ian", Ian says as he puts his shotgun back up on his shoulder. He puts out his hand. After the figure offers his hand and the name of Jason, Ian asks him if he needs any weapons or ammo. He unlocks the cabinet so that Jason can get more shells for his shotgun.

After Jason has gotten the ammo that he needs, Ian locks the cabinet back up and they leave the back room, after locking the door. The two of them hear another scream. They lower there weapons at the ready and start to go towards the exit door.

Yon Culpepper

As he sat there trying to make some sense out what had just happened another high pitch scream could be heard from the distance. Yon could tell that it was the same type scream that the creature he had killed made. He stood up and looked around, thought he saw no threat at the moment, his instincts told him he best not stay around.
Yon eyed the gun on the ground and picked it up. It was a typical 9 MM, standard issue for police officers. He also took it upon himself to search the dead mans body, maybe something as to what or who he was could be found. As he pulled the mans wallet out and thumbed through it another high pitch scream was heard, this time it was closer. Yon shoved the wallet into his back pocket and patted the man down quickly. To his surprise, Yon found a Swiss Army knife and another clip for the 9 mm. Yon quickly pocketed the items and darted down the street, hoping to put some distance from posable danger, and a bit closer to the police station.
As Yon raced down the street he couldn't help but notice the total destruction of the town. The town had taken on the image of a war zone, but not a sole moved about. As Yon cut through a back ally he spied a turned over patrol car in the adjoining street. He made haste to the patrol car, hoping to find something of use. What he found was two dead officers, their bodies badly chew and ripped apart. Yon made a quick search of the bodies and found another pistol, along with ten clips. The one corps clung onto a shotgun, but the weapon was badly damaged and could no longer serve any use. Next Yon rummaged through the patrol car, finding a few road flares and a flashlight. Yon put these items in his pack, along with the extra pistol clips.
What really caught his eye was the radio inside the car. Yon's spirits rose as he though of finally getting help, but they were quickly dashed as he found the radio dead. Yon pulled out his newly acquired Swiss Army knife and began to work feverishly on the radio and within 20 mins Yon was rewarded by the sweet sound of radio static. "Hello, Hello, is anybody out there, over" yelled Yon. The only response he received was silence. He began again, " Hello Hello, I repeat again, is there anybody out there" For a few seconds no response was heard, then like a bolt of lighting, Yon heard a response. He could not make out what was being said, the radio connection was bad and it seemed it was on the verge of dyeing. Yon quickly picked up the receiver, " Please repeat, I say again, please repeat" Again he was rewarded by a response, but he still couldn't make out what was being said. " I cant make out what your saying" yelled Yon into the receiver. " I am making my way to the station, I repeat, I am making my way to the station, in need of help, over." Yon tossed the receiver down, it was useless to try anymore, whoever heard him knew where he would be heading, maybe with some luck they would meet up.
Yon placed the two pistols in his waist band, then slung his pack over his shoulder. He quickly looked around, then grabbed his ax and began to run in what he hoped was the direction of the police station.
