Research: Best erotic horror you've read?

I have an idea in my head, but I haven't read much *erotic* horror so I doubt I could do it justice until I remedy that.

What's the best erotic horror you've read? On Literotica would be greatly appreciated, but I'll also take book suggestions.

Title Autumn in New York

Angeline has 190 posted items on Lit but only one, this one, is a story; the rest is poetry.Technically, one of the most talented writers on Lit, I believe she was a professional editor for much of her career. A good read and you won't find a better example of how to write this kind of story.

And her poetry has been consistently in the top two or three on the site for twenty years.

Some good erotic horror

In general I think if you just get on Literotica and look under Top Erotic Horror you could find some good stuff. However, there are several authors I like. Below are just a couple. I don't any one favorite piece by them. I find most of their work very good.:

Clive Barker's "The Hellbound Heart" is a perennial favourite for me. He writes very sensually and very physically; "carnal" comes from a word for "meat", and Barker's writing reflects that.

Several of the stories in his "Books of Blood" are also worth a look.

If only I could remember the name of the Lit author I edited for. His series was a mix of horror and paranormal.

There are plenty of horror authors who do it well, some more extreme than others depending on your tastes and sensibilities. Clive Barker being one. However if you can find copies, I'd strongly recommend the Hot Blood series of erotic horror anthology.
