Republicans lead Democrats by six points on a generic ballot and are gaining momentum less than a year away from the 2022 midterm elections next November.

The most recent Scott Rasmussen/RMG Research, Inc. poll showed that 44 percent of registered voters would support a generic Republican on the ballot if the election were held today, compared to the 38 percent who would support the generic Democrat. Nine percent said they “would not vote,” while another ten percent said they were “not sure.”

The results are consistent with Gallup’s party affiliation data. In April, the data showed that Democrats had a five-point advantage in party affiliation, but that had reversed by November, when Republicans had a four-point advantage. Independent voters grew from 40 percent to 41 percent.

Fifty percent of Hispanic voters in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Texas overall believe the United States is headed in the wrong direction, according to a recent poll.

In contrast, only 37 percent believe that the county is headed in the right direction, while 13 percent said they “don’t know” or did not answer.

By all means keep posting polls that are inaccurate in the hopes it will prove you correct in a year. I suggest you put this thread on your "I told you so" list. Just hit that favorites button on your browser and start a folder!

That being said these numbers don't really show us a fucking thing unfortuately. Lets start with the super obvious. 1000 Hispanics were polled in four states. Texas, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Arizona Which really doesn't tell us shit, why not the more accurate term if we talking about voting it covers the group of people we are addressing more accurately.

Of thouse thousand polled it was two hundred and fifty per state. Sounds fair right? Texas has a greater population than Pennsylvania, Nevada and Arizona COMBINED. How is this accurate as to how it would affect an election?

It would also be nice to see some year by year data. I'm having trouble digging up stats for 2020, but as of 2019 over sixty percent of registered Hispanic voters disapproved of Trump's handling of the country. That'll be one MASSIVE swing for it to help on a national level. (Bear in mind I'm fully aware that Natioinal numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. But I've been around long enough have heard the song and dance of "This will be the year that Hispanics remember they are Catholic. Look at any stat you want, virtually everybody south of Mexico is SOME breed of Catholic. I say some breed because we know many of both those whose ancestors were natives, as well as Africans especially in Brazil and the Carribean have a blended religion that makes room for traditional beliefs.

Point being if the Hispanic/Latino population had any intention of turning on the left they would have done so by now and no long term trend shows otherwise. Like every other minority save Asians (and until 9/11 Middle Eastern/Muslims) vote Left. We know what the Right represents and if they get their way its not going to end well for the rest of us.

Given the last few presidential elections (and the fact that Texas is being counted as a battle ground state not a sure thing) maybe not in 2022 but I'd be a lot more inclined to see Texas turn true battle ground which would be a devastating blow to Republicans.

Cus lets ask the fat lady to hum a few bars because if the Right has to focus on keeping Texas while the Left still has free wins in both NY and CA that's the end game.

What happened with the "pools are media manipulation" narrative?

Maybe they decided to play smart this time, and make sure Republicans grow complacent in a sense of a guaranteed victory.

If it's only six points given the beating Biden has been taking lately, I'd be worried if I were a Republican.

*chuckle*

It just beggars the imagination to see the claims of how the media beats up on Biden.

It's like Trump never even happened or we're advancing the narrative that the media was his friend...

I love the smell of panic and denial in the morning.

I urge more people to vote Libertarian,
the larger that number grows, the more
the message it sends to the two parties.

Libertarians are just dishonest Republicans.

I have been wondering what events might swing a wrecking ball through both parties before November. Riots. Knifefights in crowded hallways. Some congressman plays Santa Claus in a leaked bestiality video.

All that could happen, and the Dems and Pubs would still be the only parties that matter.

What if, and bear with me here, if Cloverfield started attacking the South where there are lots of two things. African Americans and Confederate statues, flags yadda yadda. Is that the moment when the two parties unite? Black Lives Matter keeping history from being deleted and Conservatives. . .keep history from being deleted and don't mind the help, especially since they will repair their debt by making sure they bring up the rear?

No, this is where the Pubs try to find a way to blame the Dems for Cloverfield. Something about how a wall would have kept it out.

This is where Democrats, following the lead of Dear Leader
begin crowing about the upcoming Blue Wave landslide
and the decline and death of the Republican Party...

Ash-heap of history and all that jazz.
It's very predictable.

;) ;)

Libertarians are Republicans who smoke pot.

I haven't smoked pot for 20+ years,
but I took up that habit when I was
reliably a Democrat supporter/voter.

So, good job with the stereotyping.
Now, do the raucous, drunken Irish...
