After "GOP kingmaker" Rupert Murdoch stated within 48 hours of the Batman shooting that “We have to do something about gun controls,” and after Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia opened a judicial Pandora's magazine on the issue Sunday morning, it wasn't long before other Republicans started jumping on the gun control bandwagon:
- Bill O'Reilly is campaigning for a national database for gun owners and the registration of ammo sales (such a database is specifically prohibited by law).
- Weekly Standard editor and neocon Bill Kristol is calling for the reinstatement of the assault gun ban...
...as is radio talk show host Michael Savage.
Of course, the Republicans have already chosen Mitt Romney as their new leader...
...a man, who as governor of Massachusetts, signed into law an assault weapons ban, a state with law against any magazine that can carry more than 10 rounds, a gun storage law that mandates how you are to keep a gun within your own premises; a state that refuses to honor any other states' concealed carry permits, and a state where a firearm must be tested by the state to be acceptable to be sold in Massachusetts (just like in California).
But don't take it from me - let him speak for himself and all the losers who'll vote for him this November:

We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts, I support them, I won’t chip away at them, I believe they help protect us and provide for our safety.
