I went to see the circus this weekend. One of the acts was their standard elephant act, under a new name: "Patriotic Pachyderms." So, picture red-white-and-blue-costumed elephants going through their very slow, deliberate, unvarying routine with a bunch of pretty girls being paid to ride them. The act featured all the elephants lying down on their sides at once, as well as half the elephants lying down while the other half sat on them.

Is this representative of the currently Republican-controlled U.S. government? I laughed the whole time, imagining that it was.
