I have some friends in the NYC area who have been stumping for Republican candidates through social media.

In the past 2 days they unleashed total fury that private entities would pay for generators and heaters to keep runners warm as a part of the NYC marathon. Those generators & heaters they said should be used to power & heat people's homes.

Republicans have said for years that government should not be interfering so much in the affairs of business. Their argument (until now), has been that if these station owners could charge what the market would bear they would have more profits, and could create more jobs.
