In the state of Kentucky an elderly man passed away from complications regarding a gerbil that died in his rectum.

His children stated that somehow a gerbil got out of his cage and must have lodged himself in their fathers rectum to keep warm and inadvertently asphyxiated.

My condolences to the gerbils family.
