That's a damn good question... a better one is why do you only have to be 17 to possibly go over Iraq and die in war, but you have be 21 to have a drink to celebrate your safe return?

I thought if you were in the military you could drink....my brother could when he joined the military. Did that rule change thru the years? Do you know when I was young the drinking age was 18? That law changed when I turned 18. But I was still able to drink
