Why can't it? In hours alone I spend with all my other mates, booze wins outright... so who can argue with that? Who else can pick u up when ur down the way booze can? And turn a shitty, empty, no-hope day into a fun, banging, party night the way a good bottle of Jack Daniels or Absolut Vodka can? :p

I dont drink all the time... who would, besides jobless bums? But why cant I kick back with my mates and have a few social downers? In Oz, finding a nondrinker is like finding someone in Utah who ISNT a Mormon... rare indeed :D
 
Are you saying you drink because that is the social requirement and you must drink to fit in?

Fair argument... but 18 years of that is enough, dont you think? And it really does add a new dimention of fun to a good night out, dont you see? Or mayhaps I'm just young and stupid? Do you think there's a case of liver poisoning in my future, Fagin? :cool: :)

What's wrong with a drink here and there in a social setting? Do you drink to being drunk? Do you and your liver go out and have an all out bash?

*sigh* Do you think this will ever end? Do you understand, I drink because I LIKE to drink? Most Aussies like to drink, okay? It's a part of our culture... in moderation though always, alright? If your think is to not drink ever, than thats cool... but why can't I if I dont hurt others?

Liver comment was joke, okay? Prob for the first year or so though I was pretty heavy into it, but toned back now because of work and family issues, is that okay with you, friend? :p :D

Did you read the above post? Nothing wrong with social drinks here and there, as long as you don't hurt yourself or others. Do you know and respect the line? If so, no problem whatsoever.
