It probably means someone got disenchanted and didn't know how to close their account, but didn't also feel like giving the matter any further due.

Basically, they irresponsibly left a message for someone else to deal with their own mess. Either that, or they felt like doing a drama exit, and posted an exit, in a place that someone who pissed them off would see it. Someone who frequents the "How To..." forum.

That would be my guess...

No my spouse did not find out about my account. Im fucking separated and it has nothing to do with him.

Obviously just like everyone else on here, you all included Im not getting what I needed, why else would I venture onto lit.

To close your account, go the your authors dashboard on the story side of the sight, you will have to login at the top, use the same username and password you use here on the BB.

Click on your user name when it appears. At the top of the page that displays, click New Story. Enter the title "Please Remove My Account", add the same thing in the description. Then in the story text add a note why you would like it removed. select a category, it doesn't matter which, it's just a required field. Then select a language. Check the agree checkbox. Then click on Preview.

Once your see what you have typed click submit.

It will take about a week for your account to disappear.

Then one thing that doesn't happen, is BB entries won't be deleted. They will however have guest as the user name. If you want your entries to be deleted, you can delete the text and replace them with ..... five dots.

Then again, I just might be fucking off.

Or, your can put other users on your ignore list and never see them or what they 'say' again.

People speculate. There's nothing "mean" about it. Given no information, people fill in the voids with whatever pops into their head and discuss what the problem or issue is about, thereby being able to suss the situation and address what is needed. Frankly, you didn't post anything more than a directive. You didn't ask for help, You didn't act all friendly like saying, "Please, I'd like some help closing my account." You didn't ask a question, you left an over-simplified command. One that was so brief as to appear ambiguous. Perhaps where you come from, commands make people jump to do your bidding, but not where I come from. So don't go pointing the finger of "that's mean," or rude, or whatever passes for civility where you come from.

There is no way to close an account. If you feel the need to, then strip off all information you've entered (you shouldn't need help with that since you added it yourself to begin with), and simply never log in again. Writers can remove writer's accounts, but the forum doesn't have a "delete account."
