We have the lelo one, and I have nothing to compare it to. . But its reliable, and well made. These things are NOT silent, so your idea of a party situation is a good one. A romantic restaurant, art gallery etc would be poor choices. For discreet use there needs to be a certain level of background noise.

Very quiet. I can hear it at home, when there's no other sounds, but if I have music playing or the TV on you'd never know it was on.

I love my we-vibe 4+. They have a good warranty program, too. My charger malfunctioned and they replaced the whole unit, vibe and all. We-vibes are quieter than most other brands, and since part of this one is inserted, it makes it even more discreet.
