For those who fought
Weather by choice or not
Because we love the men (and women)
Not the soldiers.
For those who lived
And those who died
And those who loved
And those who lost
And those who suffered along side
And those who grieve for the fallen
And friends who never returned
Whatever the cause,
Weather just or unjust
Whatever the convictions, politics or beliefs
With no intention to glorify war, it's causes or effects
But just because
We love the wo/men
Who were soldiers.
Remembering the British troops killed in Palestine in 1946 and 1947 trying to keep Jews and Arabs from killing each other while the UN decided to do - nothing.
