With Instant messengers, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Lit and a ton of other places I have a heck of a time remembering all my passwords.

Whats the best way to remember them all?

Use only two or three and interchange them; that way you only have a few to try.
Or keep a list somewhere. :)

Write them down somewhere!

A little black book, a Rolodex, a notebook.

If you can standardize and make more of them the same that way you have less to remember.

Then move to Firefox and have it remember all your passwords for you. Of course if you are using a communal computer that is more difficult and I would just write them down.

Yeah. Just a little word of warning on that one...should your hard drive crash or something, and you have to reinstall firefox and everything else, you'll thank your lucky stars you wrote them down on paper as well. After 2 bad drives in a year, I'm writing everything down!

I don't have trouble with passwords because I only use a few and the save feature or write difficult to remember ones on a sticky on the desk. However, usernames are a different story. :(

i'm investing in a retina-scanner. that's all there is to it.

Nightbird, do you realise you are suffering from SPCO.

I use this little program, of course you still have the same problems if your hard drive should crash.

I liked so well I bought the pro version.

You can print a copy of your passwords and it converts Gator's list.

Well, go to their site and read up.

LOL; that (the crash) scenario is the reason I did not say save them on your computer in a password protected document.

As long as it's a strange password that no one would guess, I think it works well

Once I register for something, I use the same password as I do for all my other things....99% of the time in a foreign language....and change them all at the same time, FREQUENTLY (at least once a month, but usually more often). My best advice is memorize BEFORE you change, lol ;)

Well

I normally have 3-4 passwords I use, and I use them depending on the importance of what I'm attaching them too. A game or throw-away email account gets a password I'm not concerned about should it get it out, or if I feel the site is a risky site. for my actualy computer and things I feel are more secure I have a different password for that.

Put them in your phone book, alphabetized by site name or abbreviation of site name.

Well, the way I do it is simple. I remember only 1. That one being my yahoo E-mail password, then I just mail all the other ones to myself. I'll keep that message saved in a separate folder on yahoo. That's what I do anyway.

best thing that ive found is to write them down, and then tape the list somewhere... i dont have problems with the people that are over, so if i have trouble rememb ering one, i just post-it to my cpu {which sits on the desk behind my monitor} if you have people over that your not sure if you can trust or not, try taping it someplace inconspicuous... inside a cabinet door, under a drawer... or put it on a sheet inside your wallet... the walllet trck would work if you use a public computer tho... anyway... just an idea! :)

well since you're so god damn dumb..just use one password..

NB, you can give them all to me and I promise to keep them safe. ;)

Hi Cate.. It's good to see you..

I find a mantra of "DOn'T FEED THE TROLLS" repeated to myself over and over again keeps me from replying to people like that one above. See, I am working on my tolerance problem.

I used to use things like license plate number of my car, or things that I could see while sitting at the computer. But I find my memory is starting to slip. Must be getting old.

Hint: phone number as a kid (it is something very few forget).

Nice to see you too NB

I just used your name on the 'sex machine project' a few down from here.... I recall a discussion about them and thought you had added to it as well.
