It's the obfuscation of the church that is so sickening, claiming that it is history, the criminals mostly dead, their safeguarding practices reviewed, improved and caring. "How?" they simper, "can any of God's disciples be entirely without sin?" Yet allowing suitably chastened and contrite clergy to return to their posts.

Seldom a word from the church about the very-much-alive victims.
