I'm sorry to hear that your relationship degenerated to the point you decided you had to end it. I personaly would recomend against celebrating your birthday with him. It will just add insult to your injury. Instead use the day to celebrate your newly gained freedom.

As for your folks breaking off their relationship, all I can offer are my condolences.
