One of my favorite authors at Lit is Geronimo Appelby and if you haven't read him - do - he's extremely versatile and very imaginative.

One of the story series he had sent me to "preview" was a subject that I'd never read - thought it wouldn't interest me - even found it distasteful. However, since I loved his writing so much I decided to give it a go. I'm not sure that I've ever been so turned on by a series in my life. It's "The Apartment" and based on a family... yes, incest. Obviously - incest stories can really spark a debate. Incest where there is non-consensual sex is of course repulsive and I speak from personal experience... yet again a reason why I thought I'd dislike the stories. I am not condoning or promoting incest, but it think it's a as likely a fantasy as a rape/non-consent one and actually when well written about love and support in a close knit family much more beautiful.

I think it was the taboo nature of the subject, the seduction, the chemistry that drew me in.

Curious to hear people's ideas, input (negative or positive), experience. If it's too personal feel free to PM.

AJ- on this topic our tastes part ways. Whether from my upbringing, life experiences, or other influences I find the thought of a sexual experience with a blood relative a turn-of . If a story is well-written and the family relation is from marriage or adoption, I do sometimes feel a positive sexual response.

I try not to judge or condemn anyone for their sexual tastes. If anything I find myself intrigued by them, but that is a different conversation best had in person IMH.

I like that Lit categorizes their stories. There are times when I wish more than the single label were displayed in the standard display. At those times, I use the story tags for searching out stories that work for my desires in that moment.

Although uncomfortable with some topics and very much unknowledgeable with others, I remind myself that this is another example of diversity. Additionally, I believe that what a person reads is not necessarily what a person would do IRL. As a rape survivor I cannot read the non-consent stories, but I can understand the allure of giving up control - and I don't believe these readers would violate the trust and rights of another IRL.

Getting back to Geronimo, I did read several of his stories that had a different theme, and found them both interesting and arousing. While there is a large body of his work that will not appeal for me, I am reminded not to be dismissive but to return and sample his other tasty wares.

I have the feeling we will have some of those offline discussions - and I welcome them, and you, with open arms.
