I've been posting stories at BDSM L. for awhile, and decided to switch to Literotica. My first story did well, getting 5 stars out of 5 from readers. There are 3 critics over there. All 3 listed the story as one of their all time favorites.
Encouraged, I started a 2nd. story........and discovered I'm not such a good writer after all. In fact, I'm kinda' bad. I afraid of dialog, and don't let my characters speak for me. I'm obsessed with realism, and take 3 paragraphs to explain every small detail. I tried to get better as a writer. 2nd story...ahnnn. 3rd.....uhmmm. 4th. try I had something I liked. Fans wrote they cried over the ending. I've got characters people care about. Fresh action scenes. But I bury "my ladies" under clutter where it's hard to find them, and I could use an editor to free "my ladies" from all the crap I burden them with.
Honestly, it would be a hard story to edit. Novel sized, 500 pgs. It's Tales 5, in a swords/sandals saga that's spanned 5 stories. It's hard to follow who is related to who, and why did she do that? I tossed in a prologue, and added an appendix listing characters. There are stylistic elements you may not approve of. The heroines are Femdoms, and there's explicit F/m SM in the stories. Characters die in battle. But "my girls" deserve to be seen for who they are, and I'm not a good enough writer to show them at their best. Help.

Hi Wish... I was a little confused because I can't find any stories on Lit by you. Did you submit them under another name? I do edit for your genre, but I'd like to see some of your work if thats possible. Of course, 500 pgs? Way too much for a Lit story. Maybe if you found a way to break it up across chapters... even stories... but it would still need to be much shorter. If you've had a 5 star story, most likely, you'll have another one. Don't give up, the important thing is to try to write every day.

Thanks for giving me some of your time. I suffer from a server case of motor-mouth, and I could use help from someone with editing wisdom, since I have none.

I submitted a short story for posting at Literotica, and it's under review by your site editor, but I don't know if it will pass the criterion she uses. The synopsis for the story states there a little tongue in cheek humor in the story. There's a torture scene, and as a humorous parody, it's a bit extreme. You see, there's this rat.....

I've seen stories in your novel section that top 40 chapters, I assume, submitted a chapter at a time. I've got 35 chapters ready to go. But the thrust of your comment is right, it's a big task to undertake; and it would take a generous person - or someone with more courage than sense - to give it a shot. I'll send you something bite-sized, 33 pages, by email. You could judge whether the work is worthy of any attention - without taking a whole weekend to make the decision.

Thanks again for your attention. I realize you guys are doing this out of the goodness of your hearts, and you put in time and effort for only warm fuzzy feelings.
