Refreshingly Surprised at Feedback

After posting my only two stories, I was very surprised at the quality of feedback. I was expecting the stupid, mindless, pervy bullshit, and was shocked when people sent their emailed comments. They all praised the stories, gave well intentioned, well thought-out critisisms and asked in both occassions for the next chapter.
My faith in human nature was renewed and nourished by this mature, intellectual feedback. My praise goes to all who send the authors their comments.

Most readers here at Lit are thoughtful, and well-intentioned people. It's the nasty ones that get all the attention on the boards, though. It's refreshing to hear someone comment in a good way about the readers. I think there should be more of it. Personally, if I was just reading the boards when authors talk about their readers and feedback, I'd never send any for fear of irritating those authors.

Refreshing

I must agree about receiving intelligent replies to my stories. For the most part, they have been positive and full of praise as well as requests to please submit more. If only I could find the time. Keep it up, Authors!!

And don't let the BAD one's get you down...I know we all do anyway...

Since I began writing in March, I've received a lot of very constructive critisism on my writings, and I appreciate it because I think it's helped me improve.

Yes...I still make some simple mistakes that's more habit than anything else....and inevitably, some guy love to write me and point out each and every one of them for me. And THEN tell me he hated the story anyway.

So take the good out of the bad...and leave the bad when its not good.

I was really suprised by how many people gave me feedback, also. I've written and posted 6 stories(7th on the way) since I joined in mid-July.. I was shocked to see how good the votes on my stories were, and how much positive feedback I have gotten.. it really has inspired me to post more. Keep em comin, readers!
