Sitting on the edge of the pool, Roxanne let her feet dip into its cool depths. When she'd left her hotel room that night, she had no intention of swimming. All she'd planned to do was go for a walk and that's how she found herself poolside. Her small black heels were perched next to her on the ledge and the redhead scooted them back a bit more as she extended the span of her arms. It was such a peaceful night and the sound of the crickets put her mind at ease. The full moon shown brightly on the tranquil water's surface and lit the subtle planes of her olive colored face. The girl's green eyes watched the liquid shimmer and debated on letting it engulf more than just her bare feet.

The last few weeks had been so hard on her. She was in a job she never needed and a marriage she'd never wanted. She was barely twenty and she'd already been married two years....two years to a slob of a man who she wanted nothing more than to choke in his sleep. It was a horrible thing to think, she knew that, but she couldn't help it. He was an absolute jerk...and even in her usually very kind demeanor, she wanted nothing to do with him. And yet her parents insisted, just as they insisted she go off and become a nurse. Such high aspirations for her right? Not. She'd wanted to become more than that...someone prominent and established but no...they thought she was much to....dim for that.

So here she was alone, her long limbs dangling dangerously close to the water's edge. She'd escaped from her husband and her home. Taken a vacation to no where. Well, it was somewhere. She was just too busy hightailing it out of town to notice where she'd ended up...

Roxy is fed up with living how she's expected to. She needs a man or woman to come whisk her away and give her a chance to make her own decisions whether they be good or bad.
