Ok, I'm really bored with the topics on the board tonight, so I'll start one and see if you are too.

What's the favorite thing you've done in your previous life that makes you proud of who you are?

Mine?

I bridged a gap between the Kansas City Blues Society, and the really great Kansas City blues musians. I can bore you with the details, but I don't think that's necessary for this thread.

What have YOU done?

I'm surprised no-one's taken up on this MoonWolf.

I wonder how much the things we do in adult life make us who we are today - or is it more the things that happened in early life which influence the responses we have to the varying circumstances in adult life.
For instance, the way I responded, in my job running a school, is, I now realise, due to beliefs I had acquired in my early years. At least, that's how it seems in retrospect.

So what I did in that job hasn't so much made me what I am today: it's more the things that happened in childhood that have landed me in my hay loft.

I've got five kids - that's one of the few certain things which has made me who I am - a dad x 5. And I married. That was a matter for change.

Now if I'd played football for Scotland and won a World Cup medal - that might have influenced my life - but I'd put it down to some childhood trauma anyhow, because my hypothesis ic irrefutable.
Show me the adult who has got where they are today without a childhood!

Show me an adult who has gotten where they are today despite their childhood. Those who have overcome incredible odds to reach their goals.
