I am so pissed!

According to the time on the Bulletin Board, the 13th is not quite over and I submitted my Earth Day contest - but on the main page, it tells you submissions are now closed. I've missed my chance to enter the contest and thus blown the chance to get the extra points.

Fuck!

I feel as if I'm blowing this contest and I am more than a bit upset by this. I worked really hard on the story and so I submitted it anyway, but the 13th should be the cut off and that should go until MIDNIGHT LIT time (or a minute before)

Bloody hell, worked hard on a story that I will get no points for at all (had enough in the category I placed it in)

Brett - give it 72 hours and see if it posts. The thread about the contest says this:

You can begin submitting on (or a little before): March 28
The last day to submit is: April 13 at 11:59EST
Winners will be announced on: April 20

And further down it says this:

Important Note: Once your story is submitted, it may take over 72 hours for it to be posted. We strongly suggest that you do not wait till the last day of the contest to submit your story. The sooner you submit, the better chance your story has of accruing the votes necessary to be eligible.

So you may still see it and it may still count.

Good evening, Red that's a beautiful dress, you should be quite proud of it - and her.

I was "in the neighborhood" and thought I'd stop in to say hi. I've been gone for a bit mainly because I haven't felt very motivated to get on Lit in the first place. Life isn't going all that great right now except for one amazing thing - Angel and I are as strong as ever and wonderfully in love. Without her love and support I'd be in a far worse place.

Thanks. Her hair is redder than mine. When I was her age, mine was that color though. Like me, she'll go through various states of red all year long, sometimes it'll even look orange. lol

I likely blew it RED. I was using the time on the Bulletin Board page as a guideline. For example, when I post this note, it tells me it's about 5:50 AM but it is 8:50 EST here. Nothing I can do if I blew it, but the story is submitted regardless. There was no point in wasting a new story that was already completed and ready to go.

I submitted it at 2:30 (my time) which would have passed the deadline. Not much I can do - circumstances prevented me from working on it before yesterday. I think it's a good enough story though.

It's up and posted on the site and already has a comment. I wonder if someone cut me some slack and allowed it to be an entry in the contest. Hmm ...?

Thanks Red I'm so very happy I have my Angel too! I'd be so lost without her. Things aren't going all that well right now, I can only hope and pray that they do get better and everything works out so that Angel can finally be with me in July.
