Evening to SCENT and to Warlock.

I am often surprised as to what readers like and what they don't. I also had some trolls for a while but sage advice from RED and assistance from Laurel eliminated that problem.

I was expecting folks to say things like "this isn't about earth day" and I'd have to say... ummm... it's about Earth in general which is also earth day contest worthy, but nope, it was the religion factor that bit me in the arse and that was what surprised me.

But yeah, my opinion and yours is the same. They can just deal with it.

I figure I'll always have those that like my work and those that don't. The comments were the least favorable I've had in a number of years, so I was due, I guess.

I hope mine will work with the Earth Day angle, I have the plot in my head.

Interesting side note - Calvin & Hobbes has been gone now since 1995 and ran for only 10 years. Depite this, people still buy the books and remember it with such fondness. Only Peanuts might have equal longevity but it ran for 50 years and continues in syndication.

I'm sure you'll write something that works, Brett and nice side note. I'll add my own, May 2013, the new Ironman movie comes out, and it's the month I turn 40, and I still have in my possession a free movie pass, so I think I may use it on that movie instead of GI Joe 2.

It's going to be a big "comic book movie" year RED. Not only do we get IRON MAN III, but we get a new SPIDERMAN, a reboot of the SUPERMAN franchise and a few others. CAPTAIN AMERICA II has already started filming (Robert Redford is in it) and there a few others in production.

BTW, for those with kids the May weekend that IRON MAN III comes out is also Free Comic Book Day.

I saw most of the movies I wanted to see last year, all of the big superhero ones. I usually buy them on DVD and watch them again but am a bit behind in that at the moment.

I want to see GI joe even though it got horrible reviews. Couple others too in the pipeline. Hubby sees more then I do.

I was never a fan of the GI Joe characters (even though I owned one of the original, large-sized ones in the 60's) and did not watch the cartoon. Ditto for Transformers. I did see Thunderbirds (and wished I hadn't, sigh)

I know! But to be fair, he may eat a lot of the popcorn, I do drink most of the soda and he's a nice enough fellow that when we run out, he goes for the refill. :D

I almost never eat popcorn. I used to enjoy it and got turned off of it some years back. Quite often, even the smell of it turns my stomach.

Cheese popcorn (the white cheddar) I will eat and Caramel Corn, every so often, but the movie theater stuff - nuh-uh. Not only that, I remember the days when it was freshly popped with butter!

They freshly pop ours, but we add the butter. The spouse does it perfectly and that's one of the reasons he's sent back for seconds. lol

No, that's the 111 lbs, 5'8", 18-year-old!

He does NOT allow anyone to touch his popcorn, and I mean NO ONE!!

I can believe that. Though my son is not 18, he's 14, but he can put away away a lot of food! Right now I think he's on a growth spurt. He had 8 slices of a large meat lover's handtossed Pizza Hut pizza the other day. I can't imagine what he'll be eating at 18.

Yeah, this one chick, she like sees everything sorta flat insteada sideways like everyone else.
Ain't that the darnedest thang!?

:eek::D

*snickers* I love that pic! :D

Good morning, Red! :)

Oh, is that too chipper for this time of day? Sorry, sorry.

*quietly grabs a book and flops down on the couch to read*
