I think it usually takes a week to get over thd original vacation.

There is nothing like your own bed.

Hey Jett, if you have any good pics of OZ post them, I'd love to see what Australia looks like where you were.

Hello and good evening all. I finally have a moment of me time. The kid's prom dress is in the "drying" stage of rhinestone application, so I can't work with it again until tomorrow morning.

Nice to see some old and familiar faces.

Umm sounds like something said fried today.

How much longer on the prom dress?
Yeah, it did. I just hate the smell of the fryer after its heated.

I'd say two more days. Prom is Saturday, so I'd like to get it done before Friday. The rhinestones need to sit overnight so the glue sets, so tomorrow morning as long as the rhinestones seem solid, I'll finishing beading the skirt. Thursday I'll work on beading that goes around every rhinestone.

Ok pics. Are you making a whole new dress? You should make this a business .

We've not taken pics yet. I'll take them when we're all done. I'm "blinging" up a lavender dress that she got for free. It's a pretty dress, but there were no decorations on it. It sparkled because there was glitter on the overlaying fabric but that was it. She is my "bling" girl and loves sparkle.

I think if I were to make it a business, my first purchase would be a mannequin. Without the daughter "wearing" the dress, I'm having to eyeball a lot of the work, which is scary. Tomorrow morning she'll try it on and we'll see if the waistband design lies where it needs to on her waist. I'm at the point of no return, if it fails, then I'll have to buy her a dress, or see if we can't get another freebie from a local woman that gets tons of the donated to her for use in her studio photo shoots.

I'm sure shipshawana might have one. ( hint hint nudge nudge ;);) )

Well I know our local Salvation Army gets tons of dresses for dollars. You could probably mix and match dresses

Some how Pretty and Pink is running through my head

You're so good at thinking outside the box! I never thought of that either. lol

I'll PM you last year's dress, which was pink and she got it for free too. We didn't bling it up, but I did pay $75.00 for someone to tailor it for her bust and height.

Hey yeah I'm always the idea person. It's the execution that's my problem.

I like to do so much, I'm not sure what I'd want to do as my own business, because then if I screw up, I've messed up someone's product, where if it is family, they won't sue me and they'll still love me. :D

Any business will have the occasional error RED. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge.

Finally moving after spending nearly 13 hours writing. Wrote 6 new pieces from late last night to earlier this morning, but they're done. I don't seem that good at writing during the day, so evenings it shall be unless some thought inspires me. Have to write my Earth Day story before deadline as well.

I've not written anything in weeks. My crafts have taken most of my time, and now the dress. But I'm not complaining, I'm very happy with what I've accomplished on all my little projects.

My writing slowed down to a trickle and now it is time to let it pour out again. I have work commitments and LIT commitments as well. It's time to fit the two back together and get on the ball again. I hope to write at least 2 new pieces tonight and possibly 3.

So Red just commented on your story about Durga. Forget all the negative comments. As a card carry, temple going Hindu, you wrote a hot story.

Not a trickle here at all and only a mild desire to jump back in. I'm not too worried though, I know that when the muse speaks it'll do so in a big way and I'll just keep writing and writing and then stall again.
