I'm sure a slug would be the hottest thing around. ;) lol

It's overcast here as well. I believe dusting will be on the agenda today, another meaningless chore I often ignore, but needs to be done since there will be several dozen or more people around here on Sunday.

I need to call the doctor to get some prescription shampoo for my daughter. She's still fighting the "bugs" she picked up from a friend's house back in April.

No don't get an RX

I keep forgetting to tell you. Go get some Neutragena Coal tar shampoo. It's much cheaper. The coal tar suffocates the bugs. I use it on my dogs and cats for flees. It's also good for the scalp. I have psoriasis. I swear it works so well. Follow the directions because yes, it will start to burn. Maybe shampoo once or twice and they will start falling out. Cheaper then Rx

Well thank you FF

Yeah, thanks there are some beautiful slugs out there too, lol!

Any time :D

Reef slugs known as "nudibranch" are some of the most beautiful critters out there. If I could afford their diet of high end corals I would keep one instead of excising them from my aquarium like Satan's spawn.

Yes. I remember that from class. It's the dancing sea cucumber a slug too?

Here in MI we just have the ugly green ones.

Okay, I'll see how that works. Certainly can't hurt us for trying. She's used the over-the-counter stuff, we've done vinegar washes between that, and the electric comb. We've dried the bedding in the dryer as well as garbage bagged the things that can't be washed/dried - I've fought this before, but she was at an age where forcing her to get her hair cut was a lot easier. Now she's 17 (18 in Oct) and telling her she will need to cut all that hair off is not going so well. So I told her we'd try our best to save it, but we are NOT fighting this for 2 more months. We've been lucky so far that no one else has picked it up. I told the spouse they have no reason to leave her head, she's got so much damn hair!

They could be but I'm not sure...most aquarist don't keep cucumbers for a few reasons that conflict with being in a closed environment so small.

When I was her age I had thick hair like that. I think the tar shampo will work. I used it on my cats and the fleas were dropping off her into the water. It will strip her hair. I recomend after putting olive oil in her hair. It's the only oil that does wash out of hair. If' its that bad desperate measures are needed right? put the oil in and frenchbraid it. you want it to stay on scalp more then the hair itself.

I use a Toby steamer on my bedding and anywhere I think bugs might inhabit. The steam kills everything instantly, including eggs and such. It's powerful enough to shoot the steam right through a thick pillow, so nothing lives afterwards, plus, it helps freshen them a bit. I do it once a month to my mattress and kill 99% of bed bugs and anything else that might want a piece of me, lol.
That will really help with re-infestation and you only have to concentrate on Rapunzel getting cleaned up.;)

Quick note. Slugs hate Marigolds, so I put a border around as a defence wall.

Geraniums keep bees away and Lemon Balm will keep mosquitos away. Pick a couple of leaves and rub them on bare skin and smell lemony.
:)

Yeah but i love how they move through the water. I love going to aquariums and just looking at all the colors.

Maybe I'll make myself a sea cumber. Just push everyone out of my way as i dance on by! lol!

Buenos Dias chika ;)

Thanks for the advice both of you. First time in 6 years I've had to deal with this. I hate it now as much as I did then. lol

Well Lice you can at least converse with your daughter. I had flea infestation on 2 dogs and 2 cats! I hate fleas!

Actually.. I know people that have worn flea collars. Says it works too.

Here's another thing you might try. Blacklight has a very negative effect on bugs. Standing under one that's close to the scalp, will make them leave, apparently. They are also blood drinkers and hair root eaters, so they need a certain temperature to thrive. Chilling the head will start killing them and forcing them to find warmer climes. Not that pleasant to do, but better than having them, or cutting her hair.;)

Yeah, that will not work for her. lol She smirked, shook her head and said no. lol

I don't have a blacklight, but I am all for dipping her head in ice water. :D

I don't take cold showers. lol --- I walk off and take a break from what I'm seeing/reading/writing, or phone a friend, though the last option is something I don't get to do all that often. And nil for this summer since school is out.

OMG I know when school gets out I am in trouble!

Yeah I need to get some stuff done and get off this site! I'll pop in later. Oh look at some of the pics I posted in the control thread. I think you'd like them Red. :D

You have a good day. I'm writing the revenge point of my novel right now. :D

The Control thread is a very bad place for me to visit. It makes my mouth water for things I can't have whether in a virtual sense or a real-life one. I've been avoiding that thread for a while now. lol

Why not in the virtual sense?
