Hey all, just a quick Hi and Bye. Inventory did not get finished at midnight last night, but we still had to clock out. So I had to go in earlier than my 10am scheduled shift. I got home at a quarter till 1am and went straight to bed, woke up at 6:30 and left the house an hour later to get to work. I'm heading to the school, picking up my son, and then I am coming home to find my pillow and blankets after a long hot soak in the tub. Y'all entertain yourselves.

Hmmm.... I open a letter from the BMV thinking it is my notice to renew my tags/registration for the car/truck/boat... MUCH to my surprise it is a note telling me my driver's license has been reinstated... EXCUSE Me! When was it revoked? And why? I've not had a ticket or infraction of any sort on my record since 1993! *shakes head and heads to the BMV to get this straightened out.

Big shocker huh? Well... I got back and the lady made some phone calls and told me she'd call me back when she had some answers. She did. It seems that in Indy (where the reinstatement department is) had gone through some past paperwork, doing clerical stuff and all that, data entries... they recorded data and had no idea that the data they recorded had forced the computer to generate letters that stated people's licenses were reinstated. These are folks that back in 2006 had some sort of collection fee to pay (which in my case was in May of 2006, I did pay it and I paid it in May 2006.) They had records of that. They had no idea the computer generated the letters and they were sent out. An apology was given and I told the BMV lady, thanks for figuring out what was going on and I felt sorry for her having to deal with all the folks that got those letters from the state of Indiana! So it boiled down to a clerical "oops" for who knows how many Hoosier residents.

Oh my gosh ... I can only imagine how many letters went out! I can't believe they didn't "know" the letters were generated and sent ... don't they pay attention? ~Shakes head~

I can't imagine the pissed off folks... I was surprised and shocked, but knew there had to be some reason I got a letter like that.

Well, I got to head out a bit early. A friend's son is sick so I'm picking him up at school, taking him back home and then it'll be time for me to go to work. But I get off at 5. w00t!! lol :D

Have a fun day. :rose:

That looks good to me. I was going to try to use an airline credit and fly up just for the day. It's like $250 to fly! Do they not realize it's only 230 miles?????? That is utterly fucking ridiculous!

I think I'll drive ;)

Well, where are we meeting? I thought we were meeting 1/2 way like near Indy? Are we going to Chicago? lol

Now I'm confused.

Not sure. South side would be easiest for all of us, although I'm not sure where AS2U lives. We'll have to get her input......

Yeppers. lol. . .I was under the impression we were meeting in or near Indy. LOL Chicago is fine. I'll have to twist the hub's arm to let me head that way as well as heading toward Chicago in March too.
