I agree with you - popularity is over-rated. Hopefully she'll see that too when she gets out there in the world and explores it. When I went to college the Fall after graduating high school, I lived on campus, worked a 40 hr. full time job and was only really friends with my room-mate - and that ended when I took her shopping with me one day and she shoplifted a ring from the store we were in. After that - I had no desire to be around her, and began making sure my stuff was stored away and accounted for.

I didn't have time for friendship or extracurricular stuff. In a way I want her to have some free time, but not so much that she finds herself alone and bored. *tells myself, she'll be fine and pushes the tissues away - but not too far*
I'm sure she'll be fine :) I thought I would find it hard and hate it but I love it and I've made some great friends :)

Pulled pork? Never heard of that

Ohhhh....you need to get to the states...the southern part especially... Pulled pork is wonderful....:D

Am I going to have to google it or are you going to tell me what it is apart from it being pork :D

LOL....so, you BBQ a whole pork butt. For those who really do it right, that means a very slow cooking over a smoky fire. Almost smoked more than anything. Typically taking 8 hours or longer. Leaves the meat very tender and flavorful. The cooked meat is then pulled off the bone before serving, rather than sliced. Kind of shredded...

It's often served with an awesome vinigar based sauce.

Oh yes I know what you mean we call that a hog roast here but with a whole pig :D

Ours will be smoked as well, after it is pulled off the bone I have a seasoning that will be mixed in with the juices, it'll all be tossed around allowed to sit a bit longer and then served. My mouth is already watering. :D

Yeah, sorry about that. I won't mention the pecan/apple/caramel pie, pumpkin pie, or lemon meringue pie I'm making in a few days then.

*mouth waters...speech becomes difficult* punkin pie???? groan...

I love pumpkin pie. The others, honestly *shrug* would rather have a cookie or some chocolate chips. But pumkin pie is one of my absolute favorites.

What do you have as sides on thanksgiving?

We always have a creamed spinach.
Surprisingly, we almost never have corn...

Traditional things. Mashed potatoes/gravy, stuffing (two types), a homemade grandmother recipe of cranberry salad, made with cranberries and jello - not the canned cranberry jelly - ew - rolls, I'm bringing those, green beans (not green bean casserole - though it is yummy) - pickles, cheese, olives, deviled eggs, pickled beets, scalloped potatoes, pies with cool whip (I'm homemaking my whipped topping this year as well as the pies) - and of course not a side, but we will have Turkey and not ham - ham will be at Christmas. (one year we did tur-duck-en. )

Omg that all sounds soooooo good hehehe

The big ol' story is done. Next one on the slow burner may be a controversial one. I'm going to start writing it and see where it takes me. I want to make it illustrated, so it will mean some brushing up on the old stroke techniques using charcoal and graphite.

In the mean time I'm going to focus on concluding the old chain story "Enchanted Twelve" and see if I can't get that one finished - gonna have to refresh the old noggin' on that as well. Edited to add: Oh man, I am going to have to read a lot to recall where all these characters were in the story - so one story a day until I'm caught up will do it - and I'll take side bar notes on a notepad.

Btw - don't forget if you've not read it yet Kismet (a story of a sex slave) is back on the story board and chapter 6 from TE999 was submitted last night. It's not too late to catch up on Afsoon's story as well as her mother's and several other sexy Harem girls.

Off to bed Listers. I'm done with the written text of the new story, its very short; I'll have to work on the Illustrations sometime next week, when the kids are back in school from break and I've had a chance to pick up some art supplies. I also have to review the policies of the pictures that are allowed on the story forum.

Good morning folks! :)

Today is editing day, reading and taking notes as I read day, maybe that pie dough will get done - I do technically have till Wednesday.

Lots of licks for those who want them.
