After years of little or no Jello consumption I'm a newly reborn fan.

A few months ago I bought some of the Dole packages that have premade Jello in cups with fruit on the bottom. Tasty treat.

Anyway, this has spawned my newfound Jello love.

With several boxes in my cupboard that have say untouched for motnhs now, this week I'm on my second batch. First was black cherry which proved yummy. Now I'm workign on a mix of grape and cranberry into which I have added mandarin orange slice. Kick ass when ice col.

What better snack to have kicking around than one so tasty, jiggly, and about 35 cents per box.

Anyone do any crazy shit with it?

Sorry, but jello's not my thing. Kinda don't trust food that aren't all together stable

i used to like eating the chunks of concentrated jelly before you added the water :)

That stuff is the shiz-nit.

(Yeah, I said shiz-nit. I must really like it, huh?)

I like the sugar-free version with Cool Whip.

I've got a box of sugar free Lime that maybe I can try next. is it jsut as good Minx or should I alter it at all?

estevie, I loves da pussing but Jello rocks.

Sexy-woman, Yuck.

Red Rose, Agreed. Made me love fruit again. :)

P.S. The only thing I've done with Jello lately was add some vodka and get Nora all loopy.

Name dropping

I bought them in the premade 6 pack and I could easily eat it them without Cool Whip. I think they taste fine; however, Cool Whip enhances the pleasure of eating them.

There isn't enough cool whip in the world to get me to eat Lime jello. Sugar-free to boot!

Blech!

I have done those jello shots while out bar hopping. They are pretty tasty. We bought the whole tray once. My friend got sick. She puked multi-colors all the way home.

I've been making a lot of Jello here lately, we've had the flu, and that's about the only thing I could get my kids to eat.

Black cherry is my favorite too, and lemon is not bad. IMO grape is yucky and so is strawberry.

Ok, Ill give the sugarfree Lim a go then. Ive become fond of the boxes and making up batches. I use this huge metal bowl I have.

Cool Whip often sits in my mouth oddly so its nto somethign I have in the house very often.

Interesting. Will keep it in mind for my snack cravings.

So, how did your sigar-free lime jello turn out? I think lime jello is gross, but most other flavors are pretty good.

Before I bought this 6 pack I hadn't eated Jello in years, so I guess I'm rediscovering it too (sans fruit).

A friend told me about vodka jellies.
I have yet to try them but they sound yummy.

"VODKA JELLY
Vodka Jelly is not hard to make, it's just a case of getting your quantities right! If you don't, it just won't set.

Any jelly mix will do fine, strawberry and raspberry are obvious favourites. Any brand of Vodka will also do just fine.

Basically you mix the jelly as you would normally, only using 80% of the recommended liquid. Substitute 40% of the liquid for vodka, and the remaining 40% hot water, and mix until all jelly has melted away. Pour into ice cube containers, shot glasses, or a bowl will suffice and allow to set in the fridge. It depends on your fridge, but a few hours should be fine - but make well in advance.

Next is the fun part....drinking it. Well it's not so much drinking it as letting it slide down your throat. Don't worry you won't taste the vodka in it, the jelly is nice though. Don't each too much, remember how much vodka is in it. "

A weird use lol recipe with jello.

I found a lot of 'different' recipes for jello.
Here we call it jelly.

This is one of my fav jelly recipes. It is 'low carb'. :)
