Do any of you guys ever do this? It's a perfect use for old expired credit cards.
First, trace the outline of your pick shape with a felt tip pen (the ink will wipe off pretty easily), using one of the corners of the card as a starting point. Then using sharp shears, cut out the teardrop shape to your size and specifications and voila, you can get two, sometimes three guitar picks from one old credit card. It's especially cool if you get that silver hologram thing, or part of the chip, included on your pick.
Anyway, I thought it was a cool idea; why not recycle? Otherwise those old credit cards will either end up in a landfill, or worse, someone can just copy the info off them and commit fraud. If they are cut up into guitar picks, though, they can't do that.
Then you can jam out with your friends, using your own custom made guitar picks made from recycled material.
