So is this the all time record between updates? I can't think of any longer time periods, maybe just before they switched it over to Chyoo2, but I don't think even then.

Hopefully this means we have some major improvements coming our way. Our maybe they just forgot, who knows. It's not like a post to tell us would kill anyone.

Sometimes I think this whole site is a physiological experiment in intermittent reinforcement, and the evolution of communities.

I believe you're right Jake. This looks like a new record! Woooooo! I am glad I quit making new stories. lol. But it sucks not having other people's new stories to add to. Dec 31st to Feb 7th. Wow, that's 38 days. The next round of approvals should be any day now... I think I'll hold my breath.

I would say... it doesn't look good. I haven't been over to Chyoo yet today, so I don't know if the record is still going. I am going to assume it is.

I like Jake am hoping the site has some kind of major updates to make it worth while.

I've sent an email to the administrative contact for the owner of the chyoo.com domain. Perhaps they can do something about the site.

Here is the text:
I'm a contributor to the chyoo.com website. It has been almost 3 months
since the last set of stories were approved. Only 8 story lines were
approved at that time. Over the last two years, the moderation of the site
has been extremely slow. I'd like to make a proposal for a change to
improve the situation.

Is there some way to add more moderators? Perhaps some of the contributors
could be trusted to approve good story ideas.

I just don't want the site to languish because you or whoever does the
moderation to too busy for weekly or even monthly updates.

Is it possible that they've decided to only update once a quarter? I just find it damned interesting that they updated on the three-month anniversary of the last update.

Do they understand how inadequate that is?
