Some of you may remember a thread I posted about registering for a wedding (thanks for your help!). The wedding is still some time away, but she's received her shower gifts (huzzah!) and we're excited to use them all.

I'd like to ask my fellow How To-'ers for your favorite recipes involving a blender/food processor, slow cooker/crockpot, or a bar shaker. Clearly, one recipe doesn't have to involve all three (but what a recipe it would be!). We have ideas of our own for all three, but unfortunately, we're short of "summer appropriate" crock pot recipes.

So, in short: what are your favorite recipes involving:
slow cookers/crockpots
blenders/food processors
bar shakers

Thanks!

Italian Beef {crock pot}

1 roast {I usually use beef ~ chuck or arm roast, but it works great with a turkey breast, too.}

1 can of beer {Cheap is fine. Save the good stuff for the meal.}

One jar of pepperoncini peppers

2 packages of Italian dressing mix {Any brand is fine. I prefer the "zesty" ones.}

Place roast in bottom of crock pot. Pour other ingredients over the top. Yes, juice, pepper stems and all. Close lid. Cook on low until done, about 8 hours.

To serve: Pull roast apart with two forks. Serve with hoagie buns.

Note: This can be made the day before and then refrigerated so you can skim the fat off. Just reheat before serving.

Here you go enjoy!

Beef Chicana
1 lb of London broil – sliced into thin strips
1 white onion sliced into thin strips
1 large Green Bell pepper sliced into thin strips
1 ½ cup of Tomato sauce
1 clove of garlic crushed
1 teaspoon cumin or to taste
1 teaspoon of California Chili powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 can of beef broth
3 to 4 cups of water

This is so simple – put all of the ingredients into the crock pot on low and cook until meat is tender. You may want to watch the broth level; you can either have it more like a soup or like a sauce depending on your tastes.

You can eat with warm tortillas.

It is sooooo easy and filling!

Rayven :)
