Do you REALLY want to know what someone looks like? You have no intention of meeting them, no plans to fuck them silly. Wouldn't you rather see them in your mind's eye without the social hangups of "what is visually sexy?" On that note, does anybody here actually know or remember what I look like? I personally like knowing what people look like. The more I like them the better looking they get. I may not want to fuck ALL of them, but there is plenty of mystery to most people even with an exposed mug.

My friends use to call me a pic ho', because I loved getting pictures of people I met online.

But I soon decided that there are times when it's better to just let your imagination of that person remain. I rarely ask anyone for their pictures anymore, unless it's someone I've gotten to know pretty well and we've been *talking* for awhile.

On the flip side, I will send out pictures of myself, but not to someone I've just met.

We have a tendency, always, to demythologise.
Before long we will all be on cam and it will be seen as quaint that we once used to link up like this.

However, there may be more to disclosure of who we are than simply breaking illusions. Other people posting their pics can help me to look more positively at myself, in time.
I bet many Lit people would be surprised to find that they feel lighter after they have shown themselves here!

I'd be willing to wager that not everyone here is turned on only by skinny tall blondes. I'd also be willing to bet that a request for a pic isn't always someone looking for masturbation material.

I've posted pics, and I've sent pics to people. I enjoy seeing what people look like, I like seeing how close my perception is to reality.

Pics aren't a necessary part of my conversations with people, and I rarely request one, but they're occasionally a bonus.

I'd like to think that I'm a good judge of character, for the most part, and the perception I get from any given member is what shapes that person in my minds eye. We've got some totally ugly people on this board, and I've not ever seen their pic before. Seeing peoples picture is just an added bonus, like PCG said..
