So maybe there is already a thread out there like this, but I didn't find it.

I really enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse series, I have read them all. I also have read all of Stephanie Meyers books and J.K. Rowlings novels.

I like stories with some romance, some mystery, supernatural/paranormal is a plus.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what other books I may enjoy?

Thanks :)

Janet Evanovich is fun summer reading. Particularly the earliest Stephanie Plum books. Nothing deep... but silly and fun.
I also like her "Metro Girl" series.

Um, let's see...

I like Dean Koontz, but mostly his older stuff and there's not a ton of romance in that.

I have whole lists.. I love to read.

I'm reading the Sookie ones now.

i liked Reading Lolita in Tehran
by Azar Nafsi
not everyones cuppa tea,,,but I enjoyed it

I second the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series..... seriously laugh out loud funny!

J.D. Robb ... I really enjoy these books, surprised me but I do.

Also enjoy Stuart Woods' Stone Barrington series. Actually he has several different characters he writes series of books about and I have liked them all.

Thanks for starting this thread... I had considered it this weekend but guess I dragged my feet too long.. :) I hope it stays up because I am always looking for books to read.

You cannot go wrong with Karen Marie Moning.

If you want a giggle in your reading, try the Miss Julia series by Ann B. Ross.
There was some talk of making a movie of this series.

David Baldacci Wish you Well is one of my all ti me favorites, in fact, just writing that has me thinking I'll read it again.

For a read that will make you shake your head and marvel at the human spirit read My Lobotomy by Howard Dully.

If you like mysteries, consider researching and purchasing, Dennis Wheatley mysteries. They are "interactive" books, in that the clues are found inside the book itself. If a window is broken, you might find a wax paper bag with broken particles in it stapled to a page in the book.

The concept is that these are unsolved mysteries from Scotland yard that are sent to a retired investigator named Dennis Wheatley. The book is actually correspondneces between Wheatley and the current detective in Scotland Yard that sent the case to him. The "case" includes photographs, physical evidence, etc. You read the correspondence and check out the evidence, then figure out the details of the crime.

The last section of the book is sealed. You open the seal once you have answered the questions given to you at the end of the evidence section. The books are not "bound," per se, but are two-hole punched and typically tied with ribbon.

These books are typically out of circulation, so you probably need to look in various locations to find them.

If you want to start a search for one specific book I can recommend, consider, "Murder Off Miami." ISBN 0 8317 62640

You are welcome!

I am always looking for new things to read as well. I love going to the bookstore but get overwhelmed when I don't already have something in mind!

Thank you to EVERYONE for your suggestions. It looks like I have a trip to the bookstore and possibly the library tomorrow!

PS - if there is something great you have read post it on here. I love to read just about anything and I am sure there are other readers that feel the same out there :)
