It is coming on 2:00 a.m. here. I just let the dog from hell out for a whiz and I am going back to hit the sheets for 3 and a half more hours.
You have a great day. JL.

Sleep well.

Dream of me.;)

If I could have one Lit wish it would be that everyone who has ever posted as Unregistered would be revealed as to who they really are.

I'm thinking it's 5 am and what the hell am I doing up so early:eek:

Summery

Ships That Pass in the Night - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing,
Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;
So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another,
only a look and a voice, then darkness again and silence.

From "Tales of a Wayside Inn"

One last coherent thought before I log off.

I really miss freescorfr. I need his comfort and his advice. His friendship is invaluable to me.

I miss him too. Where in the hell is he?

Real life has him by the ass and he hasn't been able to be online as much. I hope that changes soon.

Something to think about....

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.

Do you run through each day On the fly?
When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores Running through your head?

You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.

Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste, Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time to call and say,"Hi."

You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.

Life is not a race. Do take it slower
Hear the music Before the song is over

Lonely=No rest?

Spending more time with your friends may help you get a better night's sleep.
A recent study revealed that people who feel lonely may have more trouble sleeping at night compared to people who spend a great deal of time with family and friends. In the study, patients who had been identified as lonely appeared to sleep less restfully compared to non-lonely people.

This little tidbit was in my email this morning. I'm wondering if it's true.

Dogs help as well...although having two big shepards coming on and off the bed negates the sleep coming from the feeling of being loved and loving them...

Pets are wonderful at making a house feel full rather than empty. I like sleeping alone. Arms and legs free to move about as I sleep.

Evolution - John Bannister Tabb

Out of the dusk a shadow
Then, a spark.

Out of the cloud a silence,
Then, a lark

Out of the heart a rapture,
Then a pain;

Out of the dead, cold ashes
Life again.

Yea.... I kinda feel that way.

'If hands could free you, heart - Philip Larkin

If hands could free you, heart,
Where would you fly?
Far, beyond every part
Of earth this running sky
Makes desolate? Would you cross
City and hill and sea,
If hands could set you free?

I would not lift the latch;
For I could run
Through fields, pit-valleys, catch
All beauty under the sun -
Still end in loss:
I should find no bent arm, no bed
To rest my head

'Within the dream you said' - Philip Larkin

Within the dream you said:
Let us kiss then,
In this room, in this bed,
But when all's done
We must not meet again.

Hearing this last word,
There was no lambing-night,
No gale-driven bird
Nor frost-encircled root
As cold as my heart.
