Ode to my love.
Who can tell,
From one day to the next,
How life will go for us,
It's way too complex,
So hold on to me,
And walk boldly beside,
For with you beside me,
I will not have to hide,
A love gives you courage,
Love makes you hold,
It works for whoever,
Be they black, white, or old,
So keep me beside you,
My spirit protecting,
And go forth with courage,
Let me do the correcting,
For if something goes wrong,
I'll fix it right quick,
All I ask in return,
Is your love, my Bic.
(Written to my pen, on the eve of my Canadian History final)
Yes, my tongue is so far in my cheek that I've bitten it off.
