Do you often re-read Lit stories or poems? Which ones?

I've been just consumed lately with RisiaSkye's poem "Wayward" -- to the point that I even read it aloud.

Blows me away.

Impressed :D

I re-read my own.

Sometimes I think:

How did I write that? or

What rubbish! I can do better. or

Where did that come from? What was I thinking?

Once I have completed a story or a series I forget it. It's over; done with. Re-reading can start a new train of thought or a new plot, a sequel, a prequel, or more development of the same characters.

I re-read some classics e.g.

Moliere; Voltaire; Swift; Defoe; Stevenson.

Some I don't need to re-read. A few pages is enough to remind me.

The only Lit author I have read several times is:

Perdita.

Tatelou's 'Faithful'.

I think I've read it three times now LOL

And my own Leprechaun... Some days I like him, others I wonder what the f**k I was thinking when I wrote it LOL.

Depends on my mood. :)

I often reread a non erotic story by Rumple. Alive and Going Home was his Christmas contest entry.

There are times when the words won't flow for me, that story moves me and it really helps me remember how the words can do the job if you let them.

Thanks, Colly.

She'll 'pfffftttt' at me for saying it, but I re-read:

Colly's 'One Night at the Jefferson' - all 3 sections. Its an awesome story, that left me speechless with admiration the first time I read it. I've read it several times since. In fact, it was one of just a handful of stories I took with me to read last week while I was away from my comp. (I'll bet she's shaking her head at me right now...*grin*).

Also, 'Alien Sensations' and 'Office Party'.

Patricia 51's 'Cruise Ship Cruise' and 'Cruise Ship - back aboard';

Neonlyte's 'Burning Bridges'

There are other's but these are my favourites. I'm a romantic, through and through, and just love a happy ending.

Some of the first stuff I read on Lit was Dixon Carter Lee's "Patty" and "Jazzy" series and I can re-read it at any given moment and still get a thrill.

Another favorite is MindFiend. I do not know of another writer on Lit who is as dead-on with characterizations and dialogue as he is – I l-o-v-e MindFiend's stories. :)

And, of course, like Ogg, I sometimes re-read my own stuff and mentally re-write it…

The only way that could sound any nicer, is to follow it with a hug and a kiss. *sigh*.
