Forgot to mention.... A sunny morning slowly changed to partly cloudy. Partly cloudy became over cast as the sky changed to a mottled gray and full of rain. At midday, the engorged clouds began to release their wet bounty as the first drops splattered on my tin awnings with a sharp metallic pings. The light rain grew to a steady downpour as the turgid clouds boomed with low thunder. A symphony of sounds arose, from the water rushing down the metal gutters as a lead melody and the wet splashing on the streets and grass as the underlying rythm with an accompanying cacophany of drops smacking the tree leaves.

Rumblind thunder sounded from a distance as the heavens promised more rainfall. The deep grumbling of the clouds started to boom as the storm neared. The rain-heavy skies warned with a few scattered drops splashing on the soggy earth. Another steady rain started to fall, soaking everything yet again. Fat drops quickly found the puddles left from the day's earlier rain. A soothing blend of sounds to usher in the night as the neighborhood readies itself for sleep.
