-shivers- Anyway.... Never read those books, just the DL series. Liked those, but the undead has always kinda turned me on (vampires guys, get your minds outta the graves), but I need more of a romantic approach then what I have heard bout Ravenloft stuff.

Ok, I just needed to tell ya that name turns me on in nice warm fuzzy ways.

Just to add my own two cents here, the dragonlance series is good. Very good as a matter of fact. Read the entire Chronicles triliogy in a weekend. Wow!

And I thought I was the only freak who did that! In the course of two weeks, I went through the first 9 books in the series. Had one hell of a time finding all of em here in Mt P, too! Had to drive to Grand Rapids for a few, got a couple in Midland. I didn't like the first few books after Weiss/Hickman, though.

If ya get the time, make the 45 minute trip to Big Rapids, and check out Paperbacks Plus. They have all those neato D&D novels up there, or you could check out your local OnCue too.

The preludes series was pretty good. Read Flint's, Legend of Huma,.......shit, I cant remember the other ones!

Our On Cue's selection of DL BLOWS.... LOTS! We have On Cue, Book Mark, plus all of CMU's campus bookstores, and out of them, On Cue is good for maybe 4 different ones total, and BookMark seasonally gets in a lot, but they sell fast. On the other hand, they are order in for you, and they come in within a few days most often, which is good. We did that with a few of them.

I just recently started in on the series that takes place in the 5 years before they meet up again, sans Kitiara. I read the one with Kit n Sturm went to the moon. Was hoping that was the one where they would shed light on her getting preggy by him, but nope....

I really should try to read some of the Ravenloft. My hubby is constintly trying to get me to read one called I, Strahd (sp?). That is a trilogy he loves.


And yes, never knew what it was, but that name has turned me on since I first came here. Maybe it's just the vampire assosiation.

And yes, we did have some grand times in the land of Ravenloft. Some of our best campaigns were in that wonderful land of the mists. And I do believe it was you who got me into reading the novels, if I'm not mistaken. Vampire In the Mists. And the rest is history.

Right now, a few friends of ours and us are running a campaign in what i believe is Forgotten Realms. Kinda nice, I am the only female, and she is such a bitch to all the guys. One guy is sworn to protect her, and has more or less fallen for her, and she knows it. So, what's she do? Flirt outragously at every tavern they stop in. She has been the cause of her fair share of bar fights, as well.

You should go with Vampire of the Mists if anything, right off the bat, then I would suggest Heart of Midnight, and Barronness of Blood, but those are just my faves is all. Jander is sooooo cool! He's in a couple short stories in the Forgotten Realms short story collections, Realms of Valor and Realms of Infamy, I do believe.
