ummm... i've been premenopausal for the past nearly three years. It's not going to go away for a long, long time or until they take all my parts out. Whichever comes first.

Sorry to hear that, I've been enduring it for the past 5 years or so, and I've about had enough. Going to get it sorted when I get back to the UK.

Sheesh, I would imagine. Can't they terminate it earlier, rather than make you endure years of it? (I can't imagine anything more like hell !!)

I dont know how its spelt correctly but read this phonetically, Uterine Ablasion!!!
Go to your Dr. If you have a history with the dr and he or she knows you have horrific periods, have this done! I mean it!

I had periods that would go for 16days straight, Id finish and could tell it was coming on again. The specialist suggested having this done and I would recommend it to anyone having difficulties. What I had to do was go on the pill for three months, no big deal for me, but made life hell for hubby! lol That thins the lining, then they put you under and burn the lining of the uterus, NO MORE CLOTTING!!! NO MORE PERIODS!! If by chance it doesnt work for you, which it can, the most you would get is a really light period lasting maybe 3 days!

Sounds damn good dont it?

I swear when they did mine when I had my C-section they left something in there...like an alien embryo or something.

To do that, they would have to un-female me. (total hysterectomy) They don't want to do that because i'm 'too young' and 'might regret it later' and on and on... even though that's what -i- asked them to do in the first place. Big bone of contention between me and those that claim to be medical professionals in this state.

There's a lot of things that can go wrong with it. To have it done RIGHT is actually kind of rare. They just don't tell you that. The list of symptoms is insanely long, to tell if it wasn't done right. There's a site somewhere that has most of them if you do a google on it.

Some of them:
excessive cramping
extra long periods
spotting
irregular periods
hormonal imbalance
sudden onset of thyroid problems
ALL the symptoms of premenopause (hot flashes, night sweats, etc.)
onset of osteoperosis

All sorts of goodies.

Absolutely, yes. Also vaginal dryness, lack of sensitivity, things of that nature.
