I am not ‘politically correct’ but I would never deliberately insult or verbally harm another person. That is the way I was raised. I think this ‘political correctness’ is ridiculous.
The purpose of all of this nonsense is to prevent insulting or offending anyone right? Well guess what, this note that my grandson brought home from his KG class a little while ago doesn’t just offend me, it ticks me off!
The note itself is not what I find offensive. It is the fact that the school was required to send them out, that there would even be a need for such a thing.
I’m probably not making sense and I apologize, I’m just so aggravated that I can’t think straight!

I know, that's what I was getting at, I'm not mad at the school, I'm mad that there is a need for them to cover their asses, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find that there are lawyers already assigned to the schools.

I guess I'm a member of the old folks club on Lit, but I remember being required to memorize a lot of the stuff that they now have to ask permission to even teach.

Nothing is bad about NOT offending people, I would never do it intentionally, they just take everything to extremes!

I can understand your being upset. I sure as hell would be. I would make my class do this, I used to make my seventh graders memorize it. When I taught middle school. No notes went home from me.
