It's hard to find a big city that is not run by democrats. Even Houston is democrat - and better than Miami and Oklahoma ( both rep) in criminal statistics. Kansas City is run by an independent - and better than Tulsa, run by republicans.

They drove all of the white people out who had any means at all to escape from the idiocy of Judge Clark's forced bussing and the militancy of the black community and the political power which they began to wield through the guilty white liberals who comprised the Democrat Party as everyone fled. They even coined a name for it, "White Flight."

The only people left there are ultra-rich whites who live in gated and guarded enclaves, the poor and working white and all the minorities that you can shake a stick at and as soon as most of them can afford it, they move out to the safety and sanity of the suburbs.

I try to imagine a model that would run different from this. Maybe you can help me with pointing that republican ruled city (of that size) doing this different. Since even Dallas is democrat, I really don't know where to search...
