I want to know how you can possibly look in the mirror after your castigation of a person who has done nothing but lead and lead well. You take him down verbally because he has the will to state that he is not a he and he is taking steps to fix that situation. How dare you? Who made you the gate-keeper?

The strength it takes to come out and publically state that you are not happy with who you are and you are making changes is astounding. The fact that he did this speaks volumes. No, he couldn't keep this private. It isn't something that can or should be hidden.

I saw this last week. The news conference he held was done hastily because some news organization was gonna "expose" this guy. He was planning on making all this public in June AFTER he had an opportunity to talk to his 13 year old son. Shame he had to find out like this.

So this guy has been an outstanding public official for years and highly respected...and this all changes in a few minutes during a press conference. It made me sick to my stomach last Wednesday and it's having the same effect on me now.

Even though I won't be living in Largo, I hope I will have an opportunity to show my support for this guy in the weeks to come.

Ah, yes. That's been all over the local news here ever since it was announced. Seems Mr. Stanton had a leak in his inner circle - even his son didn't know the plan until after it hit the newsstands.

The only comment i had about the whole thing was that i hoped the hormones didn't give him PMS too bad. If it did, he's fire his whole staff. Other than that, there's no problem.

Then consider that most of the population in the area are either college students - who usually don't care - or Q-tips, who have those 'old time' sensibilities, and would be shocked and outraged over the whole thing. Which would explain why they can't just let the dude get it done.

So, because he was honest he lost integrity, trust and respect. Because he is unothodox in his personal feelings he lacks confidence. Because his 'secret life' was exposed, his ability to lead is undermined. Hmm... yeah, I can see that. NOT! Fucking assholes.

123.6.23 (d) Revised - All elected officials in the State of Florida shall submit to periodic testicular examination by a qualified physician appointed by the State for said purpouse.

123.6.23 (e) Henceforth Nut Tampering shall be a Class B Felony under the State of Florida Penile Code Section 543.7.8 and shall carry a prison term of not less than 1 year or more than 5 years in the State Correctional Facility. Further, no known "Nut Tamperors" may hold public office, make public appearances or be seen in public areas such as shopping malls, theaters, beaches or any other place within the boundries of the State of Florida.
