MSNBC's Joy Reid suffers lowest ratings ever

Rumors circulated in January that MSNBC would end production on "ReidOut"

Updated: April 27, 2022 - 7:31pm

MSNBC's "ReidOut" hosted by Joy Reid finished April with record-low viewership, down 51% from when the show launched in July 2020.
An average of 1.1 million people tuned into "ReidOut" each night of April, the smallest number in the program's history, Fox News reported.
"During April, every single Fox News Channel weekday program – including 'FOX & Friends First' which airs from 4-6 a.m. ET – outdrew 'The ReidOut,'" the outlet touted.

Breaking down Friday's cable ratings, Mediate reports that 1.08 million people watched "ReidOut" while 2.05 watched "Jesse Watters Primetime" at that same time.
"ReidOut" also lost 57% of its audience among adults ages 25-54, with an average of 124,000 viewers in April, Fox observed. On Friday, Joy Reid had 109,000 viewers in that coveted advertiser demographic while Jesse Watters had more than triple that number, per Mediate.

There's no doubt she will claim racism for the diminished numbers generated by her brimming hate.

Are you worried that it will get cancelled?
Better the hate spewing bigot on TV that you know than the hate spewing bigot hiding in the basement and organizing another BLM riot.. umm... I mean peaceful protest..

This coming from a hate spewing bigot.

Maybe make a thread about it.
Lol. It's called ethics, dudly. I have a professional requirement of ethics which I have rigorously upheld for my entire adult life in both my professional and personal dealings.

You, like most progressives, not so much...

I stopped watching cable news years ago, but I have some casting suggestions:
Traci Lords
Jennie Ketcham
Michael Winslow
Omarosa
Paul Rubens

Right, you’re a paragon of ethics.

You're a lying fucking idiot, RAPEY, and a poor excuse for an ambulance chaser at best.

Good. I really did not like her when I tried watching MSNBC. Of course I don't like most of the so called journalists on any cable news channel. They value and promote only empty hackery, no real value or consideration on anything they do or say.

I say put Tucker, Hannity, Reid, Tapper, Stelter, Scarborough...every last one of them on a boat to Antartica so we don't ever have to listen to their empty partisan nonsense ever again and the entire country will be better off because of it.

Lol....of course you did, Sparky. Good job.

Reid is a media head....why do you even care?

Oh right...because it's an opportunity to hate a lib that literally has no bearing on your life until you read about her in a story on a porn board

All cable news viewing is down recently- something the OP doesn't mention. Beware of single point or limited data. It's a common ploy for someone with an agenda.

This shows how numbers can be quoted to prove a variety of different arguments:

https://deadline.com/2021/06/cable-news-ratings-may-fox-news-1234768009/

"In primetime, Fox News averaged 2.17 million viewers, down 37% from the same period a year earlier; MSNBC posted 1.49 million, down 22%; and CNN drew 913,000, down 45%. In the 25-54 demo, Fox News had 345,000, down 38%, followed by CNN with 218,000, down 53%, and MSNBC with 199,000, falling 32%*

This could be interpreted as MSNBC doing better than Fox by audience retention.

Reid has only been on for a short time - during which news viewing has decreased all around. Of course recent ratings are her lowest ever.

Fox is the political outlier, self identified for their most popular shows as opinion, not journalism. While Fox gets the lions share of right-wing viewers, there are still more viewers who get their news from the other cable sources.

I doubt the OP or many Fox viewers will understand this concept.

Nobody here believes that including you.

What I've noticed from this forum, is that the right pays attention much more to the media than the left. Just look at the threads and see who quotes them.

It's something I see on other social media as well.

That was almost a year ago in the middle of the pandemic. What are the current numbers?

News is even more boring now that PT Barnum isn't our president. How do Fox's view stats compare from this April to last?

Most of CNN’s lineup will be shit canned in the near future as reasonable, business minded management takes control. Likely similar cancellations will happen at PMSNBC when they assume the bottom feeder position on cable “news!” Left-wing cable “news” is sinking faster than the titanic! Thanks to the Obama third term disastrous policies, the entire Country minus the radical socialists, is turning right. Lefty policies never have and never will work.

No, it won't

Once again ReichtGuide doesn't answer the question asked.

Yes, as I pointed to before, since Fox News is the only major cable media for conservatives it gets the most viewers of any one network. The other cable news networks each have a smaller viewership but since their market is divided among several networks, each one has fewer viewers than Fox. Still more people go to other networks besides Fox's opining noise makers.

My question was how Fox's ratings are doing this April as compared to their ratings last April. You point out that Joy Reid's views are down compared to how they previously were. I'm saying Fox's are too. No? Your "analysis" is nearly useless without a useful comparison.

Do you understand the question now? I knew it would go over your head.

Since you're the one who posted bogus numbers from the past, why don't you find and post the correct numbers and make the comparison yourself?

Who watches cable news that isn't sitting in a wheel chair in some rest home? I couldn't care less about cable news or it's ratings. You might as well be posting the ratings of Lawrence Welk reruns. Nobody gives a shit grandpa.
