All you have to do is go back and read the several Fergusen threads started here on Lit, many of you guys were pushing the lie that this was an illegal execution, hands up, blah, blah. That city burned because of a left wing lie that bought lock stock and barrel by our liberals here.

I would but I simply don't believe you. I think most of us assumed it was about down the middle and that city burned because of rampant racism. It's really just a weakness of minorities that we don't get pissed and stay pissed. Most people had already mostly forgotten Ferguson until this came back up, nobody talks about Trayvon anymore, or the guy who got choked to death, or the guy who got shot (but lived) going for his wallet.

Or a how the War on Drugs has and is largely an aimed war on minorities and the poor. Unfortunately we're a combination of far too tamed to fight back against the masters of this country and too busy making it day to day. Sooner or later something real will happen.

So. Honestly, idk what to tell you. I mean... I'd kind of take the cowboy movies and the redface being treated like something acceptable to dump tea in if we could fix contemporary tribal problems. Like I said, this institutional racism is bigger than Ferguson, that's just the latest face for it. But it's one of those problems that I don't think a series of riots will fix. I honestly don't know how to fix it. That's why I've not really been talking about it. I mean, I have the ability to say, "Yeah this is a problem" but aside from a complete rehaul of the way we treat things like race issues in this country, as a whole, not Ferguson, not Missouri, not the south, but the entire country, I don't know how to fix it. And that's gonna be expensive. That means sensitivity training for the entire force, that means cameras in every cop car uploading video 24/7 to a network that would need to be maintained, that means a trial for every police murder. Do you really think that they're gonna pay for that? I mean, really? We can't get them to pay for a decent school system. You know they're not gonna pay for that.
